Staying at Dongjiao Minxiang Hotel was a delightful experience overall. The room was cozy and well-maintained, with a warm atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Breakfast was included, simple but satisfying, and having it on-site saved us time in the morning. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Tiananmen Square, perfect for catching the flag ceremony or exploring nearby historical sites. It’s also very close to Beijing Railway Station, making travel around the city super convenient. The area is quiet yet full of charm, with several small museums tucked away nearby—great for an off-the-beaten-path cultural detour. The building itself feels a bit dated, but that doesn’t take away from the excellent value and prime location. For such a central spot with top-tier service and convenience, we’d definitely stay here again.

The bathroom facilities are fully equipped, and having a shower cubicle was a big plus, though the drain is slightly inconveniently placed near the clothes storage area, so the dry/wet separation isn’t ideal. My triple bunk room was cozy and smartly arranged—each bed has its own bedside lamp, privacy curtain, and small personal space with a handy shelf. It felt secure and private despite being a shared room. Honestly, I was so happy with my stay that I extended my trip by one extra day just to linger longer. This hostel nails cleanliness, comfort, safety, and value—all key elements for a great budget-friendly stay. If you're looking for a welcoming, authentic youth hostel experience in Beijing, this is definitely worth trying. More people should give hostels a chance—there’s so much warmth and connection to be found beyond the stereotypes.

I absolutely love staying here! I booked a seven-day stay last time and came back again—this place has become my go-to. The housekeeping lady on the 14th floor is amazing—so kind and always happy to chat. It feels like she’s part of the family. What really touched me was that the hotel uses Quanyangquan water—being from Jilin and living in Beijing, it brought back such warm memories. The restaurant downstairs serves the best Northeastern food, especially their braised green beans—so fragrant and delicious I could eat it every day. Comfortable rooms, great service, and an unbeatable vibe. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. Definitely coming back.
