The colorful rooftops and alleyway murals in De Pijp are ideal for candid shots. Use a wide-angle lens to capture full street scenes. The bridge’s metal framework and reflective puddles create stunning mirror-image compositions. At dusk, the area transforms into a glowing light art installation, offering dreamy, ethereal photos.

Yes! Oosterpark features playgrounds, a small animal garden, and open lawns perfect for picnics. The monthly De Pijp Market hosts kid-friendly stalls selling handmade treats, toys, and interactive games. Near Amsterdam's Graffiti Bridge, stay at The Hopper Hostel, a vibrant youth hostel just a 5-minute walk from Oosterpark and the bridge itself. The property features street art-inspired interiors, with murals by local artists, offering an immersive urban culture experience.

Alternatively, rent a bicycle—Amsterdam’s extensive bike lanes make it ideal. From Amsterdam Centraal, cycling takes about 25 minutes, passing through transformed industrial zones rich in street art. Along the way, stop at Brouwerij de Pijl, a local craft brewery collaborating with artists, for a taste of the area’s creative spirit and community-driven culture.

Near the Graffiti Bridge, must-try art experiences include outdoor graffiti workshops at NDSM Wharf, led by local artists using weather-resistant spray paint on industrial walls. Join a Street Art Walking Tour to discover hidden murals and learn about the evolution of Amsterdam’s urban art scene.

Don’t miss Art & Ale Night at Brouwerij de Pijl, a monthly event merging craft beer with limited-edition graffiti illustrations. For hands-on creativity, book a session at Studio Gruw, where you can experiment with removable spray paint in designated zones.

These activities highlight the district’s vibrant fusion of street art, community engagement, and innovation—offering travelers an authentic glimpse into Amsterdam’s underground creative culture.

Clinknoord Hostel

Staying in the 10-person dorm was a great experience—morning hours were a bit busy, but no worries! There’s an extra private bathroom and shower area just outside for female guests, so you can easily use them when needed. The vibe here is super welcoming—guests from all over the world, friendly and easygoing. It feels like staying in a cozy international home rather than just a hostel. Super close to the city center with easy access to public transit, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Amsterdam!

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and there’s always a little treat waiting in the café—perfect for a quick energy boost. The location is excellent too, just a short ride from the city center via public transport. Everything about this hostel felt thoughtfully done, from the clean spaces to the warm atmosphere. From the moment I walked in, I noticed the fresh, clean scent throughout the space—especially the bathrooms, which were spotless and well-maintained. The interior design is stylish yet cozy, with a bright, positive energy that instantly puts you at ease. I loved having access to a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials—each morning, we’d gather in the shared living area, cooking breakfast together and chatting about our travels. Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Vondelpark

Staying right next to Vondelpark in Amsterdam was an absolute highlight—everything is within walking distance, from museums to the canals. The on-site café downstairs tempted us with delicious smells, though we had our own plans and didn’t end up dining there. Still, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a quick bite nearby. The location alone makes this hostel a top choice. One thing to note: no toiletries, towels, or hairdryers are provided—so pack your own essentials. If you forget your hairdryer, they do have a few available at reception, but they’re limited and go fast, so don’t count on it. Overall, the hostel offers excellent value, a welcoming vibe, and unbeatable access to the heart of the city. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to any traveler looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of local charm.

It’s rare to find such a blend of charm, comfort, and practicality—this place truly delivers on every level.

Staying at The Bee Hostel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Amsterdam! The staff were incredibly friendly and always eager to help—whether it was giving local tips or just a warm smile. The hostel itself is clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with a great mix of shared and private spaces. Location-wise, it’s perfect—just a short walk to the tram stop, and everything you’d want in the city center is within easy reach: cafes, shops, museums, and bike paths. Every cabin has its own private bathroom, which is a huge plus for comfort and privacy. The rooms are quiet, and the respectful guests make for a peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared. Compared to other boats nearby, the service here stands out dramatically—this is what truly sets it apart. The price is more than fair for what you get. I’d recommend this place 200%, hands down.

Stayokay Hostel Amsterdam Stadsdoelen

I’d give it a 9/10 if not for the lack of elevator—hiking up with a heavy suitcase to the top floor was quite a workout! Next time I’ll travel light with just a backpack, haha. But overall, everything else was excellent. The breakfast was fantastic—especially the Dutch cheese, which was absolutely delicious and worth trying. Location is unbeatable: just three blocks from the red light district, but don’t let the name scare you—Amsterdam is incredibly safe. You can walk around alone during the day or even at night without any worries. The room was huge, the bed was spacious and super comfortable, and the cleanliness was top-notch. No kitchen or fridge in the room, but that didn’t bother me at all. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly—perfect for checking maps or streaming when relaxing after a long day. Great value for money, and definitely worth staying at again.

Tourist Inn One

I absolutely loved staying at this hostel—it’s perfectly located in the heart of Amsterdam, just a short walk from all the main attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; when I booked a mixed-gender dorm, they offered to upgrade me to a women-only room with no extra charge—such a thoughtful gesture. Breakfast for €12.50 is well worth it—plenty of fresh options including pastries, fruit, eggs, and coffee. They also handed me a discount card for renting a bike, which made exploring the city so easy and affordable. Everything about this place feels welcoming and well-organized. Highly recommend it for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a great vibe without breaking the bank.

Tribe Amsterdam City

This was hands down the most comfortable hotel I stayed at during my European trip. The place feels brand new, with spacious rooms that make you feel instantly relaxed. It’s just two tram stops from Amsterdam Central Station—get off at Nord, which is the final stop—and it’s only a 3-minute walk to the hotel. Perfectly located for a quiet escape from the busy city center while still being super accessible. Check-in was handled by MIKA, who was incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d actually had trouble exiting the station earlier, but he quickly explained that scanning the Eurostar QR code would solve it. When I left, I was nervous—but sure enough, one scan and I was through. Huge thanks to MIKA! The breakfast was exceptional too. That coffee? The milk foam was so rich and velvety, it might be the best cup I’ve had anywhere in Europe. I even tried making waffles myself—fun and delicious! The room’s tea and coffee station was well stocked with capsules, tea bags, and everything else you’d need, and they were always refilled promptly. If I ever return to Amsterdam, this hotel would be my top pick without hesitation.
