On the opposite side of the street, we found a friendly bank with great exchange rates—perfect for travelers with foreign currency. The window view opens to a quiet inner courtyard with some rustic-looking outbuildings, but honestly, we didn’t care much about the view—what mattered was no noise disturbance, and blackout curtains meant we could sleep soundly even on sunny days. Just a hundred meters down the same street, we discovered a cozy little café called “Old Tbilisi.” The menu wasn’t fancy, but dinner with live music and dancing with my wife to nostalgic tunes from years gone by left us with genuinely warm memories. Even more impressive: when we arrived late due to a delayed airport transfer, the hostess waited for us personally.
