Staying at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great dining options and attractions. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and professional, and every detail felt thoughtfully designed. My only minor concern is that after the recent renovation, the door to the room doesn’t seem to have strong soundproofing—voices from the hallway, rolling luggage, or service carts are clearly audible, especially late at night. It’s a small downside, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall exceptional experience. The hotel’s elegance, comfort, and service far outweigh this one issue. If you’re looking for a refined stay in Madrid, this is definitely a top-tier choice.

This was hands down the most impressive hotel of my entire trip. I stayed for two nights, and on the second day—coincidentally during National Day—the hotel upgraded me to a larger room at no extra cost, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The bathroom was spacious with two sinks, and the shower area was fully enclosed with glass—so much safer and more comfortable than the half-closed or bathtub-style setups I’ve seen elsewhere. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to everything but surprisingly quiet at night, making it ideal for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding—so many options, including warm milk, fresh vegetables, and mushrooms! That last one really stood out—it’s not something you see every day. Also, they provided two 500ml bottles of water daily in the room, whereas other hotels usually only give one on the first day. Small details like this make a big difference. Overall, an excellent stay with fantastic value. I’d definitely come back.

The price is on the higher side, but if I ever return to Madrid, I’d definitely book here again. One thing that caught me off guard was breakfast: no option was listed during booking, and the instructions just said 'available upon request.' When I arrived, I was told it wasn’t included unless booked separately—I assumed it came with the rate. That said, if it were clearly marked as non-inclusive, the price would be more understandable. Considering how expensive Madrid gets during peak season, the convenience, cleanliness, and unbeatable location make this a solid choice. Despite having 7 floors and somewhat old-fashioned elevators, they work perfectly fine and don’t hinder the experience at all. The real highlight is the unbeatable location—situated right between two metro stations (Gran Via and Sevilla), with a bus stop just outside the door. It’s only a 3-minute walk to Primark, and you can reach Plaza Mayor, along with the famous Bear and Strawberry Tree monument, in under 15 minutes on foot. Perfect for exploring Madrid’s city center without needing a car. Great value, excellent convenience, and a top choice for travelers who want both comfort and accessibility.
