It’s the perfect balance—not too bustling like Istanbul, yet right on the Mediterranean with ancient ruins nearby. The city feels relaxed and authentic, and this hotel is an ideal base for exploring at your own pace. Located just outside the old town, it’s a short walk to the tram stop, but tucked away from the main street, so it’s quieter than you’d expect. While there’s no pool, the small garden and terrace-equipped rooms made all the difference—perfect for relaxing in the mornings or evenings. The rooms feature high ceilings and minimalist, clean design that I really loved. Plus, the TV has Netflix, so staying in was never boring. No breakfast is provided, which actually worked in my favor—I discovered some amazing local bakeries just steps away. This was my first time visiting, and I arrived late at night. But since I let them know my arrival time, the owner’s friend met me right at the front of the hotel and gave me a warm, prompt welcome. The staff are attentive without being overbearing—always present when needed, but never intrusive. And the cat? Absolutely adorable—super friendly and a real highlight of the stay.

Located in a quiet part of Kaleçi, Kont Pension offers great value for money without compromising on comfort or service. It's a hidden gem that I’d definitely recommend and return to.

I wouldn't recommend staying here at all. The overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. The room was small, outdated, and lacked basic amenities—hot water issues were a constant problem throughout our stay. Despite being close to the city center, the neighborhood was noisy and not very pleasant, especially at night. The staff seemed uninterested and unfriendly; even simple requests felt like a hassle. The cleanliness didn’t meet expectations either. For the price, you get far less than what’s promised. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn’t consider returning or recommending this place to anyone.
