Staying at Saint Pauls House was an absolute delight, especially for a concert at the Utilita Arena. The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from Birmingham city centre, making it super convenient to explore the area. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches like complimentary prosecco, fresh orange juice, and coffee bags—such a nice surprise! The on-site restaurant and bar are fantastic, offering great food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere. Plus, there are plenty of excellent dining options nearby. Everything about this stay was top-notch—friendly staff, clean rooms, and a welcoming vibe. I’d 100% return and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Birmingham.

The President Hotel in Birmingham offered an exceptional stay from start to finish. From the moment I contacted them, communication was prompt and friendly—no delays or confusion. The location is unbeatable: just a short walk from the city center, surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was spotless, modern, and very comfortable—great bedding and excellent soundproofing meant a peaceful night’s sleep. I especially appreciated the warm welcome and the little extras that made me feel valued. It’s clear they care about guest experience. For a great mix of convenience, cleanliness, and hospitality, this hotel stands out. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Birmingham.

The stay was disappointing from start to finish. The staff were unfriendly, dismissive, and offered no assistance when needed. The room was basic to the point of being dull, and it wasn’t fully clean—there were visible marks and dust in corners. To make matters worse, we were made to wait over 30 minutes after checking out because the team insisted on conducting a room inspection before allowing us to leave. It’s frustrating to be held up like that, especially when you’ve already completed your departure process. There are far better options in the area with more welcoming staff and cleaner, more comfortable accommodations. I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you’re planning a visit to Birmingham.

Breakfast was outstanding—especially the fish and chips, which were fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. It felt like a real value for money deal. For such a central, well-kept property with great amenities and friendly service, this place deserves every single point. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Birmingham.

We’ve always had a fantastic stay at the Premier Inn Birmingham City (Waterloo St), and this visit was no exception. The staff went above and beyond—special thanks to Raji and Pauline for their incredible support with an additional booking. Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made all the difference. The location is excellent, just steps away from public transit and close to downtown attractions. Clean rooms, reliable Wi-Fi, and a welcoming atmosphere make this hotel a top choice. We’re already looking forward to our next trip here.

We came to Birmingham for a concert and stayed at this hotel with two friends for just one night—what an amazing find! The location is perfect: right across from a Tesco Metro, and it’s only about £8 in an Uber to Broad Street. We booked a triple en-suite room facing the front—spacious, clean, and recently renovated with modern touches, especially in the bathroom. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night after a long day. There’s great parking at the back, which was super convenient. The host gave us a warm welcome and clear instructions on how to access the building outside regular hours—very thoughtful. We didn’t have breakfast here, so I can’t speak to that, but I did peek into the dining area, and it was spotless, well-maintained, and had a nice, welcoming vibe. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. If we’re ever back in Birmingham, this will be our top pick.

This hostel completely exceeded my expectations—10 out of 10 is totally justified! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I got a middle bunk that felt stable and secure. The room was quiet, which made for a peaceful night’s sleep, and my fellow travelers were friendly and respectful. The bathroom was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained—definitely one of the best I’ve seen in a hostel. Plus, the free breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, tasty, and with great variety. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just an 8-minute walk to the city center, making it super easy to explore shops, restaurants, and attractions on foot. Everything is so convenient and well thought out. The location of PH Hostel Birmingham is incredibly easy to find—just turn off the main road and you're there. Right at the corner, there's a bus stop, making it super convenient for getting around town without needing a car. I was impressed by how accessible and well-connected the hostel is, especially for travelers on a budget. The spot is practical, clean, and offers great value for money. I’d definitely stay here again if I ever return to Birmingham.
Prince Hotel
Staying at Prince Hotel felt more like being in a temporary housing unit than a real hotel. The location is convenient—close to the subway—but everything else falls apart quickly. Wi-Fi is practically unusable, and phone signal is so weak you can’t even make calls. The worst part? Neighbors constantly hang out outside their doors, laughing and chatting loudly until 3 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. The kitchen closes at 10 p.m. every night, which means if you’re up late or need to grab food before work, you’re out of luck. It doesn’t open until 7 a.m., so breakfast is nearly impossible for early risers. Even the so-called 'free breakfast' is only available on a first-come, first-served basis—by the time you get there, it’s gone. The management is extremely problematic. Sara, the manager, is rude, dismissive, and refuses to listen. She interrupts constantly and acts like she’s always right—her behavior made me question her judgment. There are cameras everywhere, even outside the building and down the street. It felt like I was under constant surveillance, as if I were starring in some reality show. The bathroom has visible mold, and the smell in some rooms resembles urine. The water is harsh on skin—especially sensitive or acne-prone skin—it dries out hands and body. The fridge is overcrowded, with no room for your own food, and the stench is overwhelming. Items left unattended in your room are taken by cleaning staff without warning—this feels like theft. You’re forced to eat in the tiny outdoor dining area, even in freezing weather, and eating in your room results in Sara showing up early in the morning, banging on your door. If you don’t answer, she uses a spare key to enter, shouting at you while you’re still asleep. No privacy at all. Overall, this place isn’t a hotel—it’s a transitional housing facility for people waiting for council housing. The duvet cover is too small, and the bedding is clearly not meant for comfort. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Avoid it at all costs.
