This was easily the largest and most spacious hotel I've stayed at in Portugal, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The resort is well-equipped with top-notch amenities throughout—rooms are luxurious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Staff go above and beyond with warm, genuine hospitality that makes you feel welcome from day one. Parking is completely free and super convenient, which is a big plus for those traveling by car. Right outside the main entrance, there's a direct walking path to the scenic cliffside viewpoint—just a short stroll to enjoy breathtaking coastal views. The dining experience stands out as exceptional; breakfast offers a wide variety of fresh, local options, while dinner features creative, high-quality dishes crafted with care. Everything about this place feels premium without being overpriced. It’s an outstanding value for the quality and comfort offered. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-located retreat with excellent service and scenery, this resort is absolutely worth every penny. I’d happily return.

Everything you could need is available on-site—no missing essentials, no hassle. The only small note: the pool water could be a bit warmer, especially in the evenings. But that’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise flawless experience. From the serene beachfront location to the welcoming staff and top-notch amenities, this place delivers exceptional value. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-run retreat in Lagos.

The location was perfect for a peaceful getaway—just far enough from the city buzz to feel truly relaxed, yet close enough to explore plenty of nearby attractions. The sea view from the room was absolutely stunning, with endless blue skies and ocean vistas that made every morning feel like a postcard. What really stood out was how well-equipped the accommodation was: full kitchenware, microwave, refrigerator, even pots and pans—perfect for self-catering and saving money on dining out. I was originally booked into a standard room, but they upgraded me at no extra cost, which was such a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel personal. If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay with great value and a touch of home, this is the place to be. I’d definitely come back.

Staying at Sol a Sol Hostel in Lagos, Portugal was an absolute highlight of my trip. The balcony views are breathtaking—perfect for sunrise and sunset moments. Breakfast and lunch were both exceptional, with fresh, delicious ingredients that made every meal feel special. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Check-in was smooth, the rooms were clean and cozy, and I fell asleep easily—great for a restful night. It’s rare to find such a well-balanced mix of comfort, location, and hospitality. This is hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos.

Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to the beach and just a short walk from downtown Lagos. Everything was well taken care of, and the value for money was outstanding. This trip to Lagos was one of my best yet, and I can already picture myself coming back to explore more of the Algarve region. Definitely a place I’d return to.

If you're looking for a no-frills yet authentic experience in Lagos without breaking the bank, this place is hard to beat.
Parque de Campismo Orbitur Valverde
We stayed as a family of three in a camper van for seven days at Parque de Campismo Orbitur Valverde, and overall our experience was very positive. The location is excellent—great shade from the trees, a clean and well-maintained pool area, and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for families. Bathroom cleanliness was generally good, though we did notice a few spots that seemed due to misuse rather than poor upkeep. Based on our years of camping experience, we’d give this campsite an 8 out of 10—solid value for money. A quick tip: bring some warmer layers even during summer, as evenings can get chilly. Also, be aware that some areas have fruit from trees falling onto the ground, which can stick to your shoes—consider wearing footwear that’s easy to clean. From Madrid, we send warm regards to Orbitur Valverde!

We absolutely loved our stay at York House! The property is a stunning, classic villa set in a serene garden with a gorgeous pool and plenty of loungers to relax on. The bed struck the perfect balance between firm and soft—ideal for a good night's sleep. Each room came equipped with a mini-fridge, kettle, and basic kitchenware like mugs and glasses, which was super convenient. There’s also an outdoor communal kitchen with appliances and a large table, making it easy to prepare meals or enjoy a relaxed meal outdoors. One small note: we would’ve appreciated having more cutlery on hand, so bringing your own utensils is a good idea. The host was incredibly welcoming and even met us personally in the evening—such a thoughtful touch. The location is unbeatable: right next to the beautiful Meia Praia beach, with a charming 15-minute walk along a scenic wooden pathway. If you prefer not to walk, there’s a bus stop nearby. Overall, this place exceeded all our expectations. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return—highly recommend!

Staying at A40 - Castle Arch Apartment was a fantastic experience overall. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Lagos, with pubs, shops, restaurants, and museums just steps away. I even managed to wash and dry all my holiday clothes the night before heading home, which was incredibly convenient. Public transportation options are also very accessible, making it easy to explore the city. The only minor downside is a karaoke bar located five doors down that stays open until 2 AM on weekends—some noise can be heard late at night. However, this didn’t significantly impact my stay, especially considering the great value, cleanliness, and comfort of the apartment. Highly recommend for travelers looking for a central, well-equipped base in Lagos.
