The room is surprisingly spacious for the cost—especially compared to other options near Tenjin and Hakata. The tatami mats comfortably fit two people, and there's an additional 4-foot bed, so three guests can stay without any issues. You can even lay things out on the tatami, and the closet has extra bedding supplies—very thoughtful. Location-wise, it’s just a 5-6 minute walk from Otemon Station on the airport line, making public transit super convenient. I bought a one-day metro pass, and riding just twice made it worth every yen. Best of all? It’s right next to the park. Peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. I’d take daily strolls through Kakuho Park and Ohori Park, soaking in the stunning autumn colors of ginkgo and maple trees. Every morning walking to the station felt like a little adventure. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious rice balls wrapped in giant bamboo leaves. And free coffee during check-in hours? Yes, multiple drink options available. It truly feels like being welcomed into a home. The only minor downside is slightly thin walls, but honestly, the pros far outweigh that. They immediately offered to switch me to another room, and the new one had a fully functional fridge that cooled down right away. It made all the difference. The room was absolutely terrible—literally itched all over as soon as I stepped inside. The actual space didn’t match the photos at all. There was no bed frame, just a thin mat on the floor. The upper bunk had only a single pad, and the lower level was completely open with no safety barrier. Even the sheets and pillowcases weren’t made of cotton—very poor quality. Hygiene was unacceptable; I couldn’t even consider sleeping there. We ended up sitting through the night, barely able to close our eyes. This has been the worst accommodation experience in Japan during multiple visits. If you’re choosing where to stay, skip hostels or private rentals entirely—always go for a proper hotel. Definitely not worth booking through any platform. This place should be removed from listings immediately.

Location-wise, it’s perfect if you like walking around Daigo Park — just a short stroll away. And if you’re visiting during cherry blossom season, Kōkō Park is also within easy reach. Breakfast used to be a hearty homemade Japanese spread, but now it’s been simplified to just a sandwich and a coffee. Honestly, I don’t even bother with it anymore — not because it’s bad, but because the price has stayed the same while living costs have risen. I get why they’ve cut back; it makes sense from a cost perspective. Overall, despite its age and minimal updates, this hotel still holds a special place in my heart. It’s reliable, clean, convenient, and offers unbeatable value — definitely worth a stay.

Although check-in and check-out were a bit slower than expected, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. We spent two nights and three days at this hotel, and it was a truly comfortable and relaxing experience. The room was spotless, well-designed, and very practical—perfect for both business and leisure travelers. One small suggestion: while the kettle was a nice touch, having access to drinking water in common areas would be even better. Luckily, there's a vending machine just outside the hotel entrance, so we didn’t have any issues. The location is excellent—right next to Ohori Park, quiet and peaceful, yet close to restaurants, shops, and public transit. We found the whole experience outstanding, and we’ll definitely be back again.
