I was pleasantly surprised to find myself in a Korean-friendly zone with plenty of authentic shops and fellow travelers from South Korea, making it feel like a mini Seoul getaway. The hotel regularly hosts themed events, and during my stay, there was a fun fried chicken and beer night along with a special Korean strawberry tart dessert. Even more exciting? I discovered they had a countdown party that evening—staff were incredibly energetic and engaging, turning it into a memorable highlight. Every employee I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. This level of hospitality is rare and truly worth noting. Definitely coming back.

While the room interiors do feel a bit dated, the location more than makes up for it. Easy access to downtown by metro, peaceful surroundings, and that unbeatable lakeside setting really elevate the experience. It’s a great choice if you value ambiance and convenience over ultra-modern design.

There are plenty of charming cafés, the famous Marou chocolate shop, and small boutiques within walking distance—ideal for a relaxed stroll after a long day. What really stands out? The service. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Having access to the lounge all day long means you can relax, read, grab a drink, or even take a nap without ever needing to leave the hotel. It’s like having your own quiet retreat in the heart of Hanoi. For comfort, convenience, and that special touch of luxury, this hotel delivers on every level. A must-stay if you’re visiting Hanoi.

Breakfast is a highlight: a diverse buffet with plenty of options, including halal choices, making it great for all guests. While the hotel is a slight stroll from Hoan Kiem Lake (about 10 minutes), it’s still very walkable and adds to the charm of discovering the neighborhood. What truly stood out was the surprise wedding anniversary gift: a sweet treat and fresh flowers delivered to my room. For such a reasonable rate, this level of personal touch was incredibly touching. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend local restaurants or help plan activities. My room was slightly smaller than your typical international five-star, but incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated in classic French style. It faced the lush garden courtyard, so absolutely quiet—no traffic noise at all, which made for excellent sleep quality. The breakfast buffet was outstanding: fresh, diverse, and thoughtfully presented. Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel

Located just a 10-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this hotel may look unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re greeted with elegant and thoughtful design that truly stands out. Despite being in a bustling area, the rooms are surprisingly quiet—perfect for a restful stay. The front door opens right into a popular local Vietnamese eatery, making dining on-site super convenient. Breakfast is a highlight: generous, varied, and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. We stayed for two nights on December 14th and 15th—the rooftop pool was too chilly to swim in, which is understandable this time of year. The gym is located in a closed-off, windowless space with noticeable rubber odor, so we didn’t use it. However, if you don’t rely heavily on fitness or pool access, this place is an excellent choice. With its central location, charming atmosphere, and strong value for money, I’d definitely recommend it to friends. It’s one of those hidden gems that delivers far more than expected.
