The hotel is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the central train station—perfect for getting around Salzburg and nearby destinations like Lake Königssee, Hallstatt, and St. Wolfgang. The location makes day trips super easy, and I appreciated not having to navigate complicated transfers. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a great balance of comfort and value. One small downside was the front desk staff’s English proficiency—some communication challenges arose, and it felt like they assumed we didn’t speak English, which made things a bit awkward. Their attitude could use a little improvement. Overall, though, the experience was very positive, and the excellent location more than makes up for it. I’d definitely stay here again.

Room 4 & 5 Apartments

A perfect weekend getaway for a couple, staying in the sky lounge was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, everything we needed was right there—no missing essentials, no stress. We got there early and called to ask if we could check in sooner; the team was incredibly helpful and arranged it without any hassle. The apartment itself was stunning: modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed with all the comforts of home. Our only small suggestion would be upgrading the TV to a smart one for more streaming options. Also, maybe one extra towel per person for a week-long stay—because who wouldn’t want to soak in that gorgeous bathtub every single day? Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a short walk into the heart of Salzburg’s main town, surrounded by fantastic local restaurants. Plus, the apartment provided a detailed, well-curated guide to hidden gems nearby—truly thoughtful. We’d absolutely return and recommend this place to anyone visiting Salzburg. A top-tier experience from start to finish.

Altstadt Hotel Stadtkrug

Staying at Altstadt Hotel Stadtkrug was an absolute delight from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond—warm, welcoming, and fluent in English, making communication effortless. The room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, with a cozy bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. It did get a bit warm, but the oscillating tower fan worked like a charm, keeping things cool and quiet throughout the night. Breakfast was a delightful mix of traditional European staples—fresh bread, local cheeses, jam, and strong coffee—all served with a smile. Best of all? The location. Right in the heart of Salzburg’s old town, you’re steps away from cobblestone streets, historic churches, and stunning views of Hohensalzburg Castle. If you want authenticity, charm, and a true sense of place, this hotel delivers on every level. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Salzburg.

Hotel Gasthof Brandstätter

Staying at Hotel Gasthof Brandstätter was an absolute delight! The room was cozy and warm, with a breathtaking view of distant snow-capped mountains—truly magical. Located in a charming historic building, the hotel feels authentic yet impeccably clean and well-maintained. Though it's not large, it offers everything you’d want: a delicious breakfast, elevator access, a relaxing lounge area, and even a swimming pool—definitely a pleasant surprise. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food with a local touch, making dinner a highlight of the trip. Plus, there’s a bus stop right outside, with just a 15-minute ride to the city center—perfect for exploring Salzburg without hassle. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed, from the friendly staff to the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. This is one of those rare stays that exceeds expectations. Highly recommend—would definitely return!
