Staying at Pan Pacific Hanoi was a real highlight—being right on the edge of West Lake makes for incredible views, especially from rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to stunning lake vistas. The photos are absolutely picture-perfect from those angles. That said, not all rooms offer the same view; some have smaller windows, which limits the scenic appeal and makes photography trickier. While the room interiors do feel a bit dated, the location more than makes up for it. Easy access to downtown by metro, peaceful surroundings, and that unbeatable lakeside setting really elevate the experience. It’s a great choice if you value ambiance and convenience over ultra-modern design.

Yes, surge pricing can happen during peak hours, but the views of West Lake alone make it worth every minute. There are plenty of charming cafés, the famous Marou chocolate shop, and small boutiques within walking distance—ideal for a relaxed stroll after a long day. What really stands out? The service. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Having access to the lounge all day long means you can relax, read, grab a drink, or even take a nap without ever needing to leave the hotel. It’s like having your own quiet retreat in the heart of Hanoi. For comfort, convenience, and that special touch of luxury, this hotel delivers on every level. A must-stay if you’re visiting Hanoi.

The fitness center is well-equipped, and the pool area offers a peaceful retreat. Breakfast is a highlight: a diverse buffet with plenty of options, including halal choices, making it great for all guests. While the hotel is a slight stroll from Hoan Kiem Lake (about 10 minutes), it’s still very walkable and adds to the charm of discovering the neighborhood. What truly stood out was the surprise wedding anniversary gift: a sweet treat and fresh flowers delivered to my room. For such a reasonable rate, this level of personal touch was incredibly touching. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend local restaurants or help plan activities. My room was slightly smaller than your typical international five-star, but incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated in classic French style. It faced the lush garden courtyard, so absolutely quiet—no traffic noise at all, which made for excellent sleep quality. The breakfast buffet was outstanding: fresh, diverse, and thoughtfully presented. Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel

Located just a 10-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this hotel may look unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re greeted with elegant and thoughtful design that truly stands out. Despite being in a bustling area, the rooms are surprisingly quiet—perfect for a restful stay. The front door opens right into a popular local Vietnamese eatery, making dining on-site super convenient. Breakfast is a highlight: generous, varied, and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. We stayed for two nights on December 14th and 15th—the rooftop pool was too chilly to swim in, which is understandable this time of year. The gym is located in a closed-off, windowless space with noticeable rubber odor, so we didn’t use it. However, if you don’t rely heavily on fitness or pool access, this place is an excellent choice. With its central location, charming atmosphere, and strong value for money, I’d definitely recommend it to friends. It’s one of those hidden gems that delivers far more than expected.
