Everything you need to know about Haram
Al-Ma'mourah Hotel is a top choice near the Haram Mosque, offering direct access via walkways to the Grand Mosque. The hotel provides 24/7 pilgrimage shuttle services, multilingual concierge, and dedicated prayer lounges for Hajj travelers. Some rooms feature views directly toward the Sacred Mosque, allowing guests to witness key rituals like Fajr and Isha prayers from their windows. Its architecture blends traditional Islamic design with modern comfort, making it ideal for spiritual visitors seeking both convenience and reverence.
The most convenient options are the Mecca Metro or dedicated pilgrimage buses, both of which offer direct routes to the Haram Mosque. The metro system has been specially upgraded for Hajj season, featuring multilingual signage and barrier-free access. Additionally, enhanced pedestrian pathways include shaded walkways and air-conditioned corridors, ensuring safe travel even in extreme heat. Use the official Mecca Travel App to check real-time schedules and crowd levels, helping you avoid peak congestion periods.
Visitors must observe strict etiquette: perform Wudu (ablution), wear Ihram garments (white seamless clothing), and refrain from wearing shoes or trousers (for men). Women must cover their hair but not their face. Photography is prohibited, and loud talking or carrying non-religious items is not allowed. All movements inside the mosque must be quiet and reverent, especially during Tawaf (circumambulation around the Kaaba), where visitors must move clockwise without pushing. Always consult the official Hajj guidelines and follow on-site staff instructions to uphold the sanctity of the sacred site.
Near the Haram Mosque, visitors can participate in unique spiritual experiences such as joining the Fajr Prayer at dawn in the vast Grand Courtyard, witnessing thousands unite in devotion. Evening Tawaf at Night tours offer a serene, less crowded circumambulation around the Kaaba. On-site free Quran lectures and Arabic prayer workshops are led by experienced scholars, providing deep insights into Islamic teachings. These immersive activities make the area not just a pilgrimage site, but a living space for reflection, worship, and cultural connection.

Every single detail from check-in to room cleaning was absolutely outstanding. I especially want to highlight Mr. Tariq, the staff member who went above and beyond with his kindness, professionalism, and warm demeanor—he truly made our stay memorable. The entire atmosphere of Tilal Jabal Alkabah feels serene and welcoming, perfectly located for visiting holy sites in Mecca. Clean, well-maintained rooms, thoughtful service, and a genuine sense of hospitality make this hotel stand out. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mecca, whether for Umrah or pilgrimage. This is definitely a top-tier choice, and I’ll be returning without hesitation.

This was by far the best experience I've had during my visit to Makkah. The hotel's location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Haram Mosque, making early morning prayers or Umrah incredibly convenient. The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and quiet surroundings. The staff went above and beyond with their politeness and helpfulness—always greeting guests with a smile and ready to assist. It’s clear they prioritize guest comfort and spiritual ease, especially during such a sacred time. The overall atmosphere felt peaceful and respectful. For anyone visiting Makkah for religious purposes, this is an ideal choice. I’ll definitely return here on my next trip.

The breakfast here is absolutely outstanding—endless options and delicious quality. The staff go above and beyond with their warm, genuine hospitality. The hotel itself is spotless and well-maintained, with a few nice little shops on-site for convenience. What really stands out is the shuttle service to the Haram—it’s perfectly timed, and the drop-off point right beside Al Safwa Tower makes access super easy. At night, there are frequent buses running, and even if you’re staying at another nearby hotel, you can easily hop on any available shuttle that will take you directly back to your place. It’s incredibly convenient and stress-free. I’ve never experienced such smooth logistics during my pilgrimage visits. This hotel truly delivers on comfort, cleanliness, and service—definitely coming back next time.

Stayed here for four nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient—right next to a free shuttle bus stop that takes you straight to Masjid al-Haram. It only takes about 5 minutes to reach Terminal 4 near Marwa from the front-stop, making access to the holy site super easy. I booked both a double room and a triple room, but the hotel upgraded me to a four-bed room with small-sized beds. While the beds aren’t large, the room itself is spacious and very comfortable. Bonus: the electrical outlets support small appliances like electric rice cookers—perfect for travelers who like to cook their own meals. Breakfast was Middle Eastern-style—no rice, just pastries and other local treats—but the flavors were surprisingly spot-on for my Indonesian palate. There are also plenty of shops around Elaf Bakkah Hotel, offering everything from snacks to souvenirs, so you won’t need to go far for essentials. Overall, this 3-star hotel delivers excellent value for money. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah.

Located just a short walk from Masjid al-Haram, this hotel offers incredible convenience—especially for those praying during peak times. I stayed on the 3rd floor, so I could quickly descend via stairs without waiting for elevators, which made getting to the mosque on time much easier. I’d recommend allowing at least an hour or even 90 minutes before prayer starts, especially during busy periods like Hajj. The room service was incredibly friendly and attentive—they checked in daily about cleaning, and when I only needed tissues, water, and towels, they delivered promptly. My family and I stayed for seven nights and felt completely comfortable throughout. Wi-Fi on the 3rd floor was reliable enough for streaming and browsing. Overall, the experience was exceptional—great location, excellent service, and strong value for money. Definitely worth returning.

I absolutely love staying here—this place never disappoints! The staff are incredibly kind, and I have to give a special shoutout to Talal for his great sense of humor that made our stay even more enjoyable. The free shuttle to the Haram (Gazza Gate) is just a 3-minute ride away and runs 24/7, which is super convenient, especially during busy times. There’s everything you need nearby—groceries, snacks, souvenirs—so you don’t have to go far. Location-wise, it’s perfect: close to the holy site yet peaceful and well-maintained. If you’re visiting Mecca, this hotel is a top choice. Comfortable, reliable, and full of heart. Highly recommended!

I was really disappointed with my stay at Sama Al Deafah Hotel, especially when compared to other hotels in the same area and price range. The front desk staff lacked proper training and knowledge—when I tried to get assistance multiple times, they kept saying they'd ask someone else, and often no one was even at their station. I called the front desk several times during non-peak hours (evenings), but received no response. I also tried calling the hotel directly from my mobile phone—no answer. The electric kettle in the room didn’t work, and it took over two hours for a technician to arrive. Since I booked a double room, I requested an extra key card, but was refused without any clear reason. The bathroom plumbing system was particularly poor—the sound of water draining was extremely loud and clearly audible throughout the room, even with the door closed, which suggests missing anti-noise components under the sinks. When I asked for a room upgrade, the manager showed little interest and claimed there were no available rooms—despite seeing availability online. Wi-Fi was slow and unreliable most of the day, which is unacceptable for a modern hotel. Overall, while the location is decent, the service quality falls far short of expectations. Not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Staying at Borj Al Deafah Hotel was an absolutely excellent experience. The staff communication stood out—especially with a multicultural team that made interacting smooth and welcoming, no matter my language. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Housekeeping Manager Mohammad Abu—he’s genuinely exceptional. Professional, friendly, and always ready to help with any request or concern. His dedication made a real difference in making the stay comfortable and stress-free. The hotel is conveniently located near key areas of Mecca, and getting around via metro is quick and easy. For the quality, service, and location, this place offers outstanding value. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

The check-in experience was excellent, with friendly and welcoming staff who made us feel at home. The luggage transfer service was seamless, and the room was spotlessly clean throughout our stay. What stood out the most was the incredible value for money—affordable rates combined with top-notch service made this a truly memorable stay. I’m so grateful for the warm hospitality and attention to detail. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mecca.

Staying at Askant Golden Hotel was an excellent experience. The hotel is incredibly close to the Haram, making it super convenient for pilgrims and visitors alike—just a short walk from the sacred site. Located right on the main street, it's easy to navigate and access nearby amenities. The property is spotlessly clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Everything about this hotel felt welcoming and well-maintained. With its prime location and high standards, it’s definitely a top choice if you're visiting Mecca.

I wish I could give a negative rating lower than 2 out of 10. This hotel was an absolute disappointment from start to finish. The staff were unfriendly and condescending, making guests feel unwelcome rather than cared for. There was no room service available at all—something that’s expected even in budget accommodations. The surrounding area was unpleasantly smelly and poorly maintained, giving the whole place a rundown feel. For elderly travelers or those with mobility issues, there were no wheelchairs provided, which is a major concern during a pilgrimage. I’d strongly recommend anyone with a choice to spend a bit extra on a better-rated, more considerate hotel. This one is not worth it—not even close.

I strongly discourage staying at this hotel—it's infested with bed bugs, making the entire experience a nightmare. The cleanliness is extremely poor, and despite being close to the Haram, that’s the only redeeming factor. Rooms are tiny with no closets, and the dining area uses plastic plates and cutlery—very low quality. Overall, it’s a disappointing stay, and I’d give it a rating below zero.
