RENEST

Staying at RENEST was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Each cabin is uniquely designed and completely private, giving a real sense of space and seclusion. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—always available without being intrusive. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything you could need, including a full kitchenette for self-catering. On the day we arrived, the weather turned unexpectedly cold, but the cabins were warmly heated, making it cozy and comfortable throughout. We only booked one night, which felt like too short a stay—we’d love to come back for longer next time! And those two sheep? Adorable beyond words—they brought so much charm to the place. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic retreat in Kobe with great attention to detail and genuine hospitality, this is definitely a top choice.

Arima Grand Hotel

This hotel truly exceeded all my expectations—top-tier ambiance, exceptional facilities, and outstanding service. The complimentary shuttle bus runs throughout the day, making it super convenient to reach Arima Onsen Station just 20 minutes away (about a 700-meter walk). From the moment I stepped into the room, I was greeted by stunning views through the window—natural scenery that instantly calmed my mind. The gold and silver baths on the 9th floor were absolutely rejuvenating; soaking in them left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. They also offer free matcha tea, which is deliciously smooth and aromatic—a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was abundant and varied, while lunch provided excellent value for money. One of the hidden gems? A small temple right behind the hotel. A short hike up the hill rewards you with panoramic views of the entire Arima Onsen town—breathtaking. This stay wasn’t just comfortable—it felt like a peaceful retreat. I’d definitely come back again.

This was an absolutely perfect stay at Takayamaso Hanano in Arima Onsen. From the moment I arrived, the tranquility of the place struck me—no noise, no crowds, just peaceful silence that made me want to stay longer. The hotel is immaculate; every corner is spotless, and the minimalist Japanese design creates a serene atmosphere that feels both modern and timeless. The staff were incredibly attentive without being intrusive—just the right amount of care. I now understand why it's an adult-only property: the quietude is so calming, you genuinely don’t want to leave. Ginsuisou Choraku

Staying at Ginsuisou Choraku was an absolute delight. Nestled on a hillside, the hotel offers a peaceful and serene atmosphere away from the hustle of downtown Kobe. The complimentary shuttle service from the station or subway exit made arrival effortless—just a few minutes’ ride, and you’re already at the doorstep. Every staff member, from the driver to the front desk and housekeeping team, greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. The hotel is immaculately clean and well-maintained throughout. Breakfast and dinner were exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. I especially loved the onsen experience: two types of hot springs (gold and silver) to choose from, followed by a free selection of tea and light snacks afterward. It’s these little touches that make all the difference. This place isn’t just a stay—it’s a memorable experience. I’d definitely recommend it to friends and would return in a heartbeat.

The kaiseki dinner included with the stay was nothing short of extraordinary—each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, a true culinary artistry. And the onsen? Absolutely magical. Tsukie No Fune

Staying at Tsukie No Fune in the heart of Arima was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxed and luxurious. The room had a private onsen that made our stay even more enjoyable, and the meals were outstanding—especially the kaiseki dinner, which featured premium A5 wagyu beef that melted in my mouth. To my surprise, the breakfast the next morning also included wagyu, which was such a delightful bonus! The shuttle driver went above and beyond when I left my bag behind on the bus—he personally drove it to the station to return it to me. That kind of thoughtful service is rare and truly appreciated. The entire experience exceeded expectations, and I’d happily come back again. A perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and authenticity.

HOTEL ALGO

Staying at HOTEL ALGO in Kobe was an absolute delight! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean—so much more than expected for the price. Located right across from the hot springs, you can literally step outside and enjoy a relaxing foot soak at the entrance. Even better, they included complimentary tickets to both the Golden and Silver Hot Springs—what a fantastic touch! I also loved that the toy museum on the upper floor was free to visit. After most guests had left, we got to explore the entire space peacefully on the fourth floor. It felt like a hidden gem. Everything about this stay exceeded expectations—great location, thoughtful amenities, and a warm, welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Kobe.

Arima Onsen Motoyu Kosenkaku

Staying at Arima Onsen Motoyu Kosenkaku was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped into the property, I felt like I had entered a quiet, timeless retreat. Located just a short distance from Kobe, it's easily accessible by public transport, and once you're on the grounds, the peaceful atmosphere truly sets in. The traditional Japanese design of the inn is beautifully maintained—wooden beams, tatami floors, and subtle lighting create a serene vibe. My room was spacious, cozy, and perfectly appointed with all the essentials. What made this stay unforgettable was the natural hot spring bath. The onsen water is crystal clear, rich in minerals, and so soothing that every muscle relaxed instantly. I especially loved walking through the surrounding bamboo groves and listening to the gentle sound of flowing water nearby—it felt like being in a hidden garden. Arima Onsen Taketoritei Maruyama

Staying at Taketoritei Maruyama Onsen in Arima was an absolute delight. The property is immaculately maintained—no signs of aging at all—and the traditional Japanese design creates a serene, authentic atmosphere. I felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service. They even offered complimentary shuttle service to and from the town center, and it’s easy to call for a pickup back to the hotel. While the outdoor onsen is popular and tends to fill up fast, the indoor baths are much easier to book and just as enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight—huge variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious local flavors. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This place truly delivers on comfort, hospitality, and value. I’d definitely come back without hesitation.

Hotel Morgenrot

Staying at Hotel Morgenrot was an absolute delight, especially because of its unbeatable location right next to the Gin-You Onsen entrance—just a quick step outside and you're already soaking in the hot springs. The temple of Gekoku-ji is literally within 100 meters, making it super easy to take a peaceful morning walk or explore some local history. While the bathroom is on the smaller side, it's spotlessly clean and functional. The overall vibe of the place is cozy and authentic, with a real sense of Japanese simplicity and warmth. For the price, this hotel offers incredible value—perfect for travelers who want a quiet, genuine ryokan experience without the hassle of long commutes. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Kobe.

Zuihoen

We stayed at Zuihoen in Kobe with my 74-year-old mom and our 10-year-old daughter. The suite was spacious—definitely more than just a standard room—but it felt like three rooms were squeezed together, which made the layout a bit unusual. Still, we were very happy with the size and comfort. The bathroom stood out—the fixtures were high-end and so relaxing after a long day of exploring. While the price wasn’t cheap (over ¥100,000 for the suite), considering the location, service, and overall quality, it felt worth every yen. We only found availability through this platform, which made it even more special. A memorable stay with a great balance of comfort and value—definitely planning to return.

Staying at Arima Onsen Koki was an absolute delight! The moment I walked in, the cleanliness and attention to detail were immediately apparent. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service—always smiling, always helpful. But the real highlight? The hot springs. The natural onsen water is pure and soothing, perfect for unwinding after a long day. I especially loved soaking in the evening with views of the surrounding mountains—truly peaceful and rejuvenating. Located just minutes from Kobe’s city center via train, it’s easy to explore local restaurants, shops, and attractions without sacrificing tranquility. This place offers incredible value for such a high-quality experience. I’ll definitely be back.
