Staying at Sonder the Bywater was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The staff team went above and beyond with their warm, genuine smiles and attentive service—just being around them made the whole stay feel special. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the French Quarter, surrounded by great restaurants, local charm, and historic vibes. Everything you’d want for a memorable trip to New Orleans was right at your doorstep. Clean, modern rooms with thoughtful touches, and an unbeatable sense of place. I’ll definitely be back.
Sonder Piety House
We stayed at Sonder Piety House for a wedding weekend with the family, and it was absolutely perfect. The place is stunning—clean, well-maintained, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, making for a restful stay. The Sonder team responded instantly to any questions or requests, which made everything so seamless. No issues at all throughout our visit. From check-in to checkout, everything was smooth and welcoming. It’s clear they care about guest experience. We’ve stayed at The Lookout Inn before, and once again, it was an outstanding experience! This time, we booked two connecting suites—one for my wife and me, and another for our two adult daughters. The space was perfect for our family getaway, offering comfort and privacy while still feeling like one cozy home base. Located in the heart of Marigny and Bywater, it’s an ideal launchpad for exploring all the charm and culture that New Orleans has to offer. We loved having room to relax in the spacious Mission Suite—great for catching up, planning adventures, or just unwinding after a day out. The weather warmed up early in the week, so we made full use of the back pool and hot tub. And yes, we even enjoyed a delicious breakfast Po’Boy from Frady’s right on the property. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. We’re already looking forward to coming back—this place truly feels like home.

If you’re visiting New Orleans, this is a must-stay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, stress-free experience with exceptional hospitality.

There were plenty of towels, and the air conditioning system worked quietly and efficiently—perfect for New Orleans’ humid weather. The ice machine was conveniently located nearby, which was a huge plus. Everything worked as expected: toilets, faucets, and the TV all functioned perfectly. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Compared to other mid-tier hotels we’ve stayed at, this one stands out for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent value. It’s clear they care about guest satisfaction. We’d definitely recommend this place over other options we’ve tried before—especially if you’re looking for a quiet, reliable, and well-maintained hotel in New Orleans.

I had expected better cleanliness and maintenance for the price. This experience definitely affected my perception of the property. I hope management addresses the ventilation and mold issues soon, as it’s crucial for guest comfort and safety.

The security gate at check-in might look a bit intimidating, but once inside, you instantly feel safe and well taken care of. The room was spotlessly clean, with a cozy bed that made for a restful night's sleep. It's a great little gem in the heart of New Orleans—perfect for travelers who value both comfort and security.
Rodeway Inn & Suites New Orleans Gentilly
Arriving at the hotel, we were immediately disappointed by the unfriendly front desk staff. The room was directly facing the street, with windows so dirty that it was nearly impossible to see outside. Despite being advertised as a non-smoking property, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke—so intense that we checked out after just five minutes and paid extra for a new hotel. The location is far from downtown New Orleans, making it inconvenient for tourists. As a young couple, we found this stay extremely unsatisfying and not worth the price. It would be completely impractical for families too. Overall, a very disappointing experience with no redeeming qualities.

I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to New Orleans.

Even though I’m a local from New Orleans, I was looking for a quiet place to unwind, and this hotel delivered perfectly. Being from Georgia for a while, I can confidently say there’s nothing quite like being back home in New Orleans. The vibe, the hospitality, the energy—it’s all uniquely NOLA.
