One minor note: the evening live entertainment had some loud music that could be heard from the room, but once the windows were closed, the soundproofing worked really well—no disturbance at all. One downside was the lack of bathrobes in the room. We called to request one, but were told it would cost 50 euros—really? In a five-star property, you shouldn’t have to pay extra for a simple robe. Maybe we misunderstood and it was supposed to be a deposit, but if so, that should’ve been clearly communicated upon check-in. Also, they asked for a credit card at check-in—possibly as a security measure in case something goes missing. We used a debit card instead, which worked fine, but the whole process left a slightly negative impression. Overall, the hotel offers great value and a wonderful atmosphere, but these little inconsistencies leave us wondering whether we’ll return. It’s not a deal-breaker, but definitely something worth reconsidering.
