The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Dietlindenstraße U-Bahn station, making it super easy to explore the city, whether you're heading to the Olympic Park, BMW Museum, or Marienplatz. From the moment I walked in, the design felt authentically Munich—modern yet deeply rooted in local culture, with subtle touches like the Saint Charles apothecary products in the bathroom that made me feel like I was staying somewhere truly special. I booked a standard king room (38 sqm), which felt spacious and thoughtfully laid out, especially with the floor-to-ceiling windows offering serene views of the greenery outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower area—featuring a large walk-in setup—was a real treat after a long day of sightseeing. Dining-wise, The Lonely Broccoli is a must-visit. As Munich’s first modern meat-focused restaurant, it delivers on every level. I highly recommend the Wagyu Beef Burger with brioche bun, onion jam, bacon, and cheddar—it’s rich, juicy, and perfectly balanced. The Jamaican-style poussin was another standout, with bold Caribbean spices that really stood out. For sides, the truffle fries and truffled mashed potatoes were luxurious and aromatic, while the lonely broccoli with smoked almond sauce added a quirky but delicious twist. And don’t miss the rooftop bar, M’uniqo—perched at the highest point in Munich, it offers panoramic views of the city and even the distant Alps. Sipping a cocktail there at sunset was pure magic. The spa is also impressive—the largest wellness center in Munich—with six private treatment rooms, a glass-walled indoor pool, a sun deck, and a fully equipped fitness area. The breakfast buffet was excellent—plenty of variety and high quality, and the room itself was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Check-in was a bit slow, but we were lucky to be assisted by a front desk staff member who spoke fluent Chinese—really helpful, especially since we returned late after exploring the city. The hotel is well-connected: Bus Line 19 goes straight to the door, making it super easy to get around Munich. Great location, great service, and excellent value—definitely planning to come back.

The location is fantastic: just under 200 meters from a major supermarket, and within easy reach of the city center, tourist spots, and the exhibition center via public transit. The breakfast buffet is a standout—open to the public, even locals come in to pay and enjoy it. Daily menu changes keep things fresh and exciting, and the quality is consistently high. Room sizes vary significantly but are priced the same. My group of five had rooms ranging from around 20 sqm (smaller, older style) to over 70 sqm (luxury layout). The larger ones felt spacious and well-maintained; the smaller ones showed some wear—like a closet that wouldn’t close properly and creaky floors—but everything was clean and functional. No elevator means climbing stairs if you're on the third floor or higher, which can be tiring with luggage. The hotel feels like a charming family-run guesthouse, managed by a kind elderly lady who lives on-site. There are also two or more small dogs (mostly terriers) around—adorable and friendly, adding a warm, homey vibe. One hiccup: I didn’t receive an invoice after checkout. Initial email attempts went unanswered, which was frustrating. But then I reached out through platform support, and their team stepped in immediately. Despite initial hesitation from the hotel citing privacy concerns, the support agent persisted, communicated clearly, and eventually secured the missing invoice. This experience really stood out—especially how responsive and professional the service was. It’s rare to get such personal attention from a support team, especially when dealing with international bookings. In the past, I’ve used other platforms for domestic travel, but this time my company required using this one—initially skeptical, but now I fully understand why. The level of care, reliability, and problem-solving ability made all the difference. For business travelers seeking a no-frills yet reliable option with great value, this hotel delivers. The only minor downside is that the bathroom is quite compact, and there are no slippers provided—had to search three nearby supermarkets before finding a pair (so definitely bring your own if you’re planning to stay). Overall, this place delivers excellent value, great cleanliness, and a fantastic central location. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely be returning on my next trip to Munich.

A gentleman there went above and beyond when I asked about Geisten HP8 Cultural Center. He not only looked up the location and transit details but also wrote down the exact subway route and station names clearly on paper. That kind of personal care made a big difference. I left feeling genuinely appreciated. This hotel offers comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning next time I visit Munich—and I’ve already recommended it to friends.

If all Meininger locations maintain this standard—especially considering Munich is one of their oldest properties—I’d say they’re a safe, reliable choice for any budget-conscious traveler.
