Located just a 10-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this hotel may look unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re greeted with elegant and thoughtful design that truly stands out. Despite being in a bustling area, the rooms are surprisingly quiet—perfect for a restful stay. The front door opens right into a popular local Vietnamese eatery, making dining on-site super convenient. Breakfast is a highlight: generous, varied, and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. We stayed for two nights on December 14th and 15th—the rooftop pool was too chilly to swim in, which is understandable this time of year. The gym is located in a closed-off, windowless space with noticeable rubber odor, so we didn’t use it. However, if you don’t rely heavily on fitness or pool access, this place is an excellent choice. With its central location, charming atmosphere, and strong value for money, I’d definitely recommend it to friends. It’s one of those hidden gems that delivers far more than expected.

While the room and service were solid, the lack of transparency and support during a pricing change left a sour taste. Would have loved more flexibility from the team.

All amenities were well-stocked, though I couldn’t tell which towel was for body use—minor confusion, but nothing major. The large bathhouse requires an extra fee, but the hotel’s interior was immaculate and had that upscale, elegant vibe. Complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water were available throughout the day, but alcoholic drinks, juices, and snacks came at a cost—checked out during checkout, so I paid for what I enjoyed. Breakfast ran from around 6 AM until just before 10 AM, offering a great mix of local Vietnamese dishes and Western options. The fresh pho (noodle soup) was made right in front of me—hot, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It was buffet-style, and the staff patiently explained each dish in Vietnamese. They were incredibly attentive—offering to carry plates when I couldn’t handle more, clearing empty trays promptly, and showing genuine care. The fruit selection and local specialties were delicious enough that I’d rather eat them here than buy anything off the street. After check-in, the front desk team even asked how I slept and if everything was okay—so thoughtful. The pool is located on the 11th floor, accessible via stairs. Guests can either change into swimwear in their room and wear a bathrobe, or change in the private restroom and shower area—both options are convenient. The pool opens as early as 7 AM, ideal for morning swims. The cocktail bar was quiet when I arrived, and it took a while to get someone to come over—so I suggest heading down there after enjoying the pool; it’s much more efficient. One of the best perks? Left luggage service after checkout. I returned later to explore the city again without carrying my bags. Staff even offered to help organize my belongings—truly considerate. For transportation, they can arrange one-way taxis, which I used for my return trip. While slightly more expensive than hailing a cab myself, the price was clearly stated upfront, and paying in advance gave me peace of mind. The elevator system requires swiping your key card after entering—secure and smooth. Overall, this hotel delivers exceptional value, top-tier service, and a memorable stay. I’ll definitely be back.

One thing to note: there seemed to be quite a few Indian guests staying here, especially noticeable at the pool area. Some were playing quite aggressively, making it difficult to relax. I had to leave after just 10 minutes because no staff or security personnel stepped in to manage the situation or ensure safety. Parents traveling with young kids should keep a close eye on their children—the adult pool is about 1.4m deep, while the kids’ pool is roughly 0.6m. Overall, the service was excellent, the room was clean and well-maintained, and the location is ideal for exploring the city. A great choice if you're looking for comfort and reliability.

Right outside the hotel is the old quarter, where you can easily explore local shops, street food stalls, and authentic Vietnamese culture. Just steps away is the peaceful lake, offering beautiful views, especially at sunset. It’s perfect for travelers who want to be immersed in the city’s vibe without having to travel far. With great value for money and a central spot, I’d definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
