STF Stockholm Skeppsholmen Vandrarhem

This has easily been the best hostel I've ever stayed at—truly exceptional value for money. Located on a serene island directly across from Old Town, the view from my window was absolutely breathtaking every single day. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, and what really stood out was the evening staff service—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. From check-in to checkout, everything felt seamless and welcoming. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of charm, comfort, and hospitality in a budget-friendly place. I’d absolutely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Stockholm.

Castanea Old Town Hostel

I absolutely loved staying at Castanea Old Town Hostel! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and easily accessible by metro. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in smooth and welcoming. I stayed in a 4-bed female dorm, which was clean, cozy, and well-organized. The lockers were spacious enough for all my belongings, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a hostel. The common area has such a charming vibe—small but thoughtfully decorated with board games, books for exchange, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home. The overall experience was fantastic, and I’d highly recommend this place to any traveler looking for a budget-friendly, social, and comfortable stay in Stockholm.

Rygerfjord Hotel & Hostel

Staying at Rygerfjord Hotel & Hostel was an absolute delight. The room was cozy, clean, and surprisingly spacious for the price—especially given how close it is to Stockholm’s city center. Public transport access is excellent, making it super easy to explore the city without needing a car. I opted for the breakfast add-on, and it was one of the best parts of my trip—fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options. The only small downside is the lack of a shared kitchen, but honestly, there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, so it’s not a real issue. Overall, this place offers incredible value, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable base in Stockholm, this is definitely worth considering.

Hotel Hornsgatan

I was a bit unsure at first since the bathroom and shower were shared, but I ended up staying for three nights and never had any issues—there were plenty of facilities available, so no waiting or inconvenience. The room itself was stylish and well-designed, and given the prime location in Stockholm, it’s incredibly affordable. The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful—super friendly and attentive. After check-out, she even offered us a coffee before we left, which was such a thoughtful touch. It’s clear this place cares about guest experience. Den Röda Båten

Staying at Den Röda Båten was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is built right on a boat, offering a truly unique way to enjoy Stockholm’s scenic beauty from the deck. Every morning and evening, I found myself mesmerized by the calm waters, passing boats, and city skyline—so peaceful and romantic. The location is excellent: just a short walk or quick transit ride into downtown, making it easy to explore all the city has to offer. Mosebacke Hostel

I stayed at this hostel for a week in a private room with an en-suite bathroom—perfect for privacy and convenience. The breakfast was simple but satisfying, just enough to kickstart the day without any fuss. Located in the Södermalm neighborhood, it’s a convenient base for exploring the city: about a 25-minute walk to Fotografiska and even closer to Gamla Stan. I found it easy to get around on foot, which made daily sightseeing stress-free. The vibe of the area is lively yet relaxed, and the hostel itself felt clean and welcoming. Great value for the price, and ideal if you want to be close to the heart of Stockholm without being in the tourist crowd. Highly recommend for travelers who appreciate location, comfort, and a no-frills experience.

Ersta Hotell & Konferens

This was my first solo trip abroad, and honestly, I was a bit nervous at first. But from the moment I arrived at Ersta Hotell & Konferens in Stockholm, everything felt right. The room was stunning—clean, stylish, and so thoughtfully designed. I truly relaxed and enjoyed every moment. The breakfast was exceptional too—fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options to start the day right. What really made my stay unforgettable was the reception staff. The female employee was incredibly kind and helpful, answering all my questions with patience and warmth. And when I checked out, she even said "Thank you" in Japanese—it brought an unexpected smile to my face and made me feel so welcome. This hotel isn’t just convenient or well-located; it’s genuinely special because of its personal touch. I already plan to return next time I visit Sweden. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Archipelago Hostel Old Town

Great value for money and a really comfortable stay! I don’t speak Swedish, so I found it a bit tricky to understand the instructions on the intercom system—especially since the English audio wasn’t very clear. It would’ve been helpful if the messages were also available in Swedish. The double room was bright and fresh, with two large windows and deep window niches that doubled as extra storage space—such a clever design touch. The bedding was clean and crisp, adding to the overall pleasant vibe. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Gamla Stan, just steps away from Nygatan, where you’ll find cafes, shops, and local charm at every corner. A few small things could be improved: the room could have been cleaned a bit more thoroughly, and there was no refill of liquid hand soap in the bathroom. Also, paper towels were completely missing—had to dry my hands on the thin toilet paper, which was a bit awkward. Still, these are minor issues in an otherwise excellent experience. If you’re looking to explore Stockholm’s historic old town without breaking the bank, this hostel is definitely worth considering.
