My room was slightly smaller than your typical international five-star, but incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated in classic French style. It faced the lush garden courtyard, so absolutely quiet—no traffic noise at all, which made for excellent sleep quality. Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel

Located just a 10-minute walk from Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, this hotel may look unassuming from the outside, but once you step inside, you’re greeted with elegant and thoughtful design that truly stands out. Despite being in a bustling area, the rooms are surprisingly quiet—perfect for a restful stay. The front door opens right into a popular local Vietnamese eatery, making dining on-site super convenient. Breakfast is a highlight: generous, varied, and delicious. The staff are warm, attentive, and always ready to help. We stayed for two nights on December 14th and 15th—the rooftop pool was too chilly to swim in, which is understandable this time of year. The gym is located in a closed-off, windowless space with noticeable rubber odor, so we didn’t use it. However, if you don’t rely heavily on fitness or pool access, this place is an excellent choice. With its central location, charming atmosphere, and strong value for money, I’d definitely recommend it to friends. It’s one of those hidden gems that delivers far more than expected.
