New Hotel
Staying at New Hotel in Athens was an absolute delight! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the metro and surrounded by great restaurants, shops, and attractions. The room was clean, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with everything you’d need for a relaxing getaway. What really stood out was the warm and welcoming staff—they made every moment feel personal and special. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring the city. I’ve stayed at many hotels across Europe, but this one truly stands out for its charm and attention to detail. Even though the price is on the higher side, it’s completely justified by the quality and experience. I can’t wait to come back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens—this is definitely one of my favorite stays ever.

Noise levels were low, so I wasn’t disturbed by outside sounds. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making check-in and check-out smooth. They even offered a small welcome gift—a nice touch! With its central position, good amenities, and welcoming atmosphere, this hotel offers fantastic value. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Athens.

Staying at Hotel Amalia Athens was absolutely incredible—truly one of the best experiences I’ve had in Athens. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh, sweet fruit like mango and kiwi (already peeled!), plus delicious homemade pastries that made every morning special. The bathroom vanity is surprisingly spacious—perfect for getting ready or organizing your essentials. I loved having a small desk by the window where I’d sit with a book and watch the changing of the guard at Constitution Square—such a peaceful and memorable moment. The location is unbeatable: just a 2-3 minute walk to the X95 airport bus stop (about 200 meters), flat and easy to navigate even with luggage. Everything else—the Acropolis, Syntagma Square, shopping areas—is within walking distance. Across the street is the National Garden, and right next to the hotel is a metro station, making travel around the city effortless. The rooftop café and terrace are a highlight—unobstructed views of the Acropolis, the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, and the Parliament building. I stayed through New Year’s Eve and watched the fireworks from up there—it was magical. This hotel offers such a perfect mix of comfort, charm, and convenience. If you’re visiting Athens, this is a must-book. Highly recommended!

The rooftop restaurant on the 7th floor is a real gem—perfect for dinner with a view of the Acropolis, especially at sunset. One small note: if you’re sensitive to street noise, consider a higher-floor room away from the Ermou Street side for a quieter experience. Overall, as someone who’s traveled extensively around the world, this place earns a solid five-star rating without hesitation.

The only minor note: the bathroom stairs can be slippery when wet, so extra care is advised. But honestly, this tiny detail doesn’t take away from how amazing the whole experience was. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and attentive, helping us book a tour, recommending authentic local restaurants, and assisting with minor issues effortlessly. The breakfast was outstanding—homemade tiropita, spanakopita, bougatsa, fresh eggs Benedict, and delicious pastries. A big thank you to Eleni for the amazing food! The room was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped. Located just steps from Plaka, it’s perfect for exploring Athens on foot. We’ll definitely be back—this is one of those rare stays that leaves you wanting to return.
