While the furniture showed some wear and tear, like chipped edges, it didn’t bother us much since we weren’t expecting luxury. The price point made sense given the condition, and we appreciated the practicality over fancy touches. One thing that stood out was the front foyer—it looked brand new, almost giving the impression that the rooms might be freshly renovated, though the apartments themselves felt a bit dated. Free secure luggage storage was a big plus, especially for travelers arriving early or departing late. The pool area was a highlight—serene, inviting, and a great way to unwind after exploring the city. Even the tiny balcony was useful: just enough space to sit or hang up laundry. The TV didn’t work—no power cord even—but with such a short stay and no need for entertainment, it wasn’t an issue. Overall, this place delivers solid value for money, ideal for guests who prioritize function, convenience, and a quiet base in central Budapest.

Just a quick reminder: please remember to take your trash down to the first-floor trash area before check-out—it’s simple but important for keeping the hotel tidy. Overall, this place offers fantastic value, especially if you enjoy self-catering and extra space. Located in a convenient spot near public transit, it’s easy to explore Budapest. Highly recommend for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a homey vibe.

The location in Budapest is fantastic—perfect for exploring the city—but the actual property didn’t live up to expectations. The photos online make it look bright and cheerful, but in reality, the rooms felt dark and cramped, especially with two extra beds squeezed into two of the bedrooms. We had to request additional pillows—one per person—since the standard offering was insufficient. The kettle in the adjacent apartment wasn’t working, which was frustrating when you’re looking to make a quick coffee. The hallway entrance was dim and looked poorly maintained, giving an unwelcoming first impression. It’s disappointing because the neighborhood is so convenient and central. While the location is a big plus, the overall condition and attention to detail leave much to be desired. For a place this close to everything, a little more care in upkeep and guest comfort would go a long way.

But the keypad entry system and secure internal doors gave us peace of mind. We felt safe not just in the unit, but also throughout our time in Budapest. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the energy of the city while returning to a modern, clean, and secure home base, this is the perfect spot. Holiday Beach Budapest Wellness and Conference Hotel
This hotel offers a peaceful riverside setting along the Danube, making it a great spot for a relaxing getaway. The location is quiet and scenic, with easy access to downtown Budapest via public transit. That said, the property definitely needs some renovations—several rooms had noticeable issues like a leaking air conditioner, a broken hairdryer, a non-functional rain shower, and loose baseboards. The breakfast was decent, and staff were friendly and attentive. However, the restaurant and bar close at 9 PM, which is disappointing during warm summer evenings when guests would love to linger on the terrace. We ended up having to buy drinks elsewhere just to extend our time enjoying the view—an inconvenience that’s hard to understand. On one evening, the restaurant was closed due to a wedding, but no guests were informed in advance. This caused confusion and frustration, especially since the hotel is somewhat secluded and not located near other dining options. Overall, the hotel has potential and good bones, but there’s still work to be done to live up to its four-star rating. With better maintenance, clearer communication, and slightly later closing times, this could easily become a top choice.

Also, the property doesn’t have a standalone entrance—access is through a shared hallway, so if you’re expecting a clear, hotel-like front door, be prepared for something more like a residential apartment building. It’s located close to downtown Budapest, so public transport access is decent, but overall, the value-for-money just doesn’t stack up. Unless you're on a tight budget and have no other options, I wouldn’t recommend this place again.

Only one bathroom was functional, while the other was unusable and visibly dirty. Dishes left unwashed in the kitchen, grime on the bathroom surfaces, and beds that felt like metal springs instead of proper mattresses made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The owner’s response when we mentioned these issues was dismissive—he claimed everything was fine, which only added to our frustration. Despite being located near public transit and close to the city center, the overall experience was far from satisfactory. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent, hygienic stay.
