I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Holiday Inn Niagara Falls State Park Entry—better than I expected based on reviews. The view across the river to the Canadian skyline is stunning, especially during sunset. Right next door is the legendary Buffalo wing spot—their wings were delicious and worth the visit. Everything you need for sightseeing is within walking distance: the falls, the rainbow bridge, and more. The location is unbeatable. The only minor issue was some fingerprints and smudges on the glass door between the living area and bedroom, which could’ve used a little more cleaning. But honestly, it didn’t detract from the overall experience. Great value, excellent location, and a comfortable stay overall.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Headland Lodge! The space was perfect for our family—roomy, clean, and very peaceful. Even though the exterior didn’t look overly secure, we felt safe throughout our entire visit. Everything was just right: comfortable beds, reliable Wi-Fi, and a great location near Niagara Falls. The only minor note is that there isn’t private parking, but street parking was easy to find and convenient. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend this cozy, well-located home-away-from-home for families or groups looking for comfort and value.

It’s hard to shake that first impression when walking up to the property. While it’s conveniently located near the falls and casino, the overall curb appeal leaves much to be desired. A little more attention to outdoor maintenance and indoor air quality would go a long way in improving the guest experience. Otherwise, it’s a decent option if you’re just looking for a basic place to stay.

When our freezer broke down shortly after check-in, she responded within an hour to get it fixed—truly impressive service. The location is perfect for exploring the falls and casino area, and everything about the experience felt seamless. I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back.
The Hennepin House-Private Yard &Parking
We stayed at The Hennepin House for my mom’s birthday on Christmas Day, and honestly, it was one of the more stressful trips we’ve had. The host was friendly and sent the access code ahead of time, which was appreciated. However, the moment we drove in, we were hit by a sense of unease—our route from the border passed through a run-down neighborhood with boarded-up stores and empty buildings that felt eerie. To make matters worse, the property sits next to an abandoned, derelict church that’s been left to decay, which was unexpected and unsettling. We initially entered through a side door near the parking area, thinking it was the main entrance. What we found instead was a dirty, unfinished basement filled with debris—there was a discarded AC unit and visible rat droppings on the floor. That experience alone made us reconsider staying. We tried entering through the other side, where the house looked spacious and clean at first glance. But upon closer inspection, every room had broken or damaged vents covered in dust, which triggered allergies for some of us. The downstairs bathroom curtain was hung too high, causing water to leak out during showers. Upstairs, the shower had extremely low water pressure, and it took forever for hot water to come through. The doors were all old and warped—some were split so badly you could see light through them when closed, offering zero privacy. Overall, despite our best intentions to make this a special birthday celebration, we were so uncomfortable and uneasy that none of us got a good night’s sleep. We ended up checking out early on day two, just to get back home and rest in our own beds. While the host was kind, the condition of the property and the surrounding environment made it feel unsafe and uninviting. Not worth the price, and definitely not recommended for families or travelers seeking peace and comfort.

Upon arrival, we were disappointed to find the property was not properly cleaned. There was a plastic cup on the porch, a dirty kitchen floor, an empty water bottle in the bedroom, and the beds were clearly unclean. One of the bedrooms had non-working lights, and during our stay it got uncomfortably hot—yet we couldn’t locate the thermostat. We tried reaching out to the host multiple times, even left voicemails, but received no response despite automated messages from the platform encouraging us to contact them if needed. The property is clearly in poor condition, and it’s evident the owner doesn’t prioritize cleanliness or guest support. Overall, the experience was frustrating and far below expectations—definitely not worth the price.
Quality Hotel & Suites at the Falls
Coming from Buffalo Airport, there's a bus stop on the left side—seems to be Route 72. A $2 ride gets you into downtown, then transfer at the bus terminal to head toward Niagara, again just $2 per person. The trip takes about two hours, but it's super affordable. Rideshares cost around $60–70, and taxis can run close to $100, though they get you there in under an hour. Once you arrive at the bus station, the hotel is literally right in front of you—easy to spot. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to move around. Breakfast was decent but not great—limited options and average taste. Still, the value for money is excellent, especially considering how convenient the location is for reaching the falls. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with good access to attractions and easy transit, this place is worth considering.
