Staying at Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Causeway Bay was an absolute delight. The location couldn’t be better—just steps behind Times Square, with easy access to MTR stations and all the shopping and dining options you could want. The room was larger than expected for Hong Kong standards, offering plenty of space and a clean, modern design. I appreciated the self-service vending machine for basic toiletries like toothbrushes—super convenient. Breakfast was offered in collaboration with the second-floor restaurant, giving us four different options. I went for the B meal—the beef brisket noodle soup—and it was delicious! Rich broth, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles. Service throughout the stay was outstanding. The concierge staff member (a kind gentleman) noticed we were catching the high-speed train out of Hong Kong and kindly reminded us to allow enough time at the border crossing. He even waved goodbye when we checked out—such a thoughtful touch. From comfort to service, everything felt personal and well-executed. This hotel is a hidden gem in Causeway Bay. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Hong Kong.
Apartment Kapok
This was my first stay at Apartment Kapok in Hong Kong, and overall it was a great experience. Getting from the airport to Exhibition Centre MTR station was smooth and straightforward—just hop on the train and you're there. The navigation was a bit tricky at first; I thought I had to find a main entrance, but the actual access is through a small door next to Bank of China in Building A of Wanjing Centre. Just exit at Exit B3 of Exhibition Centre Station, cross two streets, and you’re right there. The location couldn’t be more convenient—especially since I needed to renew my child’s documents, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the Consulate General building in China Resources Tower. That made everything so stress-free. The room was spacious and well laid out, offering plenty of room for comfort. Staff were friendly and helpful when needed—nothing overly enthusiastic, but definitely responsive and professional. We stayed on the 7th floor, which didn’t have sea views, but the street-level view was perfectly fine. There are plenty of dining options nearby, though if you’re craving authentic local snacks, you’ll need to cross a skybridge and walk a bit further. On the bright side, there’s a supermarket right downstairs—perfect for grabbing fresh fruit, milk, or even quick breakfasts and lunches. The only downside? Poor sound insulation. I could hear every door slam from the neighboring unit—it was loud enough to make me wince. But considering the excellent location, clean rooms, and overall value, I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Hong Kong.

Hot water for the shower came on instantly—no waiting—and the drainage system handled water quickly without any clogging issues. The bed was super comfortable, and the bedding felt soft and skin-friendly. For the price point, the value-for-money is outstanding. Even check-out was a breeze—quick, efficient, and friendly staff.
