Staying at Nile Valley Hotel was one of the highlights of my trip to Luxor. Located on the quieter side of the West Bank, it’s just a 2-minute walk to the ferry crossing—perfect for early morning trips across the Nile. The staff were very welcoming—they even offered me a beer upon arrival and later brought one by the pool, which was a nice touch. There’s no Wi-Fi in the room, but the pool area has reliable internet, so it worked well for checking things online. The property is a bit dusty, which is common throughout Egypt, but inside the room was spotless, with excellent air conditioning and stunning views of the Nile. The local staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Plus, there’s ongoing construction right in front of the hotel—a new welcome plaza for the ferry terminal—which didn’t disturb my stay at all. In fact, it’ll be a great addition once finished. Overall, this place offers a peaceful, authentic Egyptian experience with great value.
