Staying at Ramsess Hostel in Luxor was an absolute highlight of my trip—warm, welcoming, and perfectly located just steps from the West Bank’s iconic Valley of the Kings and Queens. From the moment I arrived, I felt like family. The hosts went above and beyond: breakfast every morning was fresh, delicious, and made with care—especially that homemade cheese and perfectly cooked eggs served alongside a playful little kitten who stole my heart. As a solo female traveler, I truly felt safe and comfortable, surrounded by kind women, a grandmotherly presence, and children who added warmth to every interaction. The staff never pressured me, but always checked in gently if I stayed out late—just enough to make me feel looked after without losing my privacy. Nasser, the manager, even picked me up from the train station at no extra cost, gave me a friendly tour of the area, pointed me to the best local juice shop, and helped me plan everything I wanted to see. This place isn’t just a hostel—it’s a home away from home. If you’re visiting Luxor, don’t miss this gem. A must-stay for anyone who values genuine hospitality, peace of mind, and unforgettable memories.

Stayed at Grand Hotel in February 2024 and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The price per night was incredibly affordable—perfect for a budget-friendly trip. In this price range, cleanliness is non-negotiable, and the hotel delivered spotless rooms with fresh linens and neatly made beds. The owner, Massoud, went above and beyond—he shared invaluable local tips for first-time visitors to Luxor (trust me, you’ll need someone who knows the city well!), helped us book unforgettable excursions, and even followed up to ensure everything ran smoothly. It’s clear the staff genuinely understand European travelers’ needs and are eager to help. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches, every detail felt personal and sincere. This isn’t just a cheap place to stay—it’s a memorable, well-run gem that punches way above its weight. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, value, and genuine hospitality in Luxor. Thank you, Massoud and the whole team, for making our trip so special!

Staying at the Bob Marley Peace Hotel in Luxor was an absolute highlight of my trip. The hotel is located in a vibrant local neighborhood, just a short walk from the city center, offering a genuine glimpse into everyday life in Egypt—far from the touristy crowds. The place is spotlessly clean and cozy, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What truly sets it apart is the owner, Mohammed—he’s incredibly helpful, friendly, and genuinely invested in making your stay memorable. He personally organizes daily tours, but he also offers great advice on affordable taxis if you prefer exploring on your own. His knowledge of the area and willingness to assist made all the difference. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a real experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for authenticity, comfort, and a personal touch.

The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from the city center, making it super convenient for exploring Luxor. What really stands out is the on-site restaurant—excellent food and drinks with a great variety, all within easy reach without having to go far. Highly recommend this place for both comfort and convenience.

Staying at Embrace Hotel was absolutely delightful! The property grounds are beautifully landscaped and offer a peaceful retreat after a long day of touring. I could truly unwind in the serene environment, which made all the difference. The rooms were incredibly comfortable—clean, well-appointed, and cozy enough to make you want to stay in all day. The hot shower with strong water pressure was a real treat, washing away every bit of fatigue from the day’s adventures. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and helpfulness—always smiling, always ready to assist. Even the locals around the hotel were warm and welcoming, and the kids in the area are absolutely adorable. Honestly, it's much quieter than the east bank, making it perfect for a restful night’s sleep. And don’t worry about dining—there are plenty of great restaurants on the west side, so you’re never stuck for good food. Plus, the ferry to the east bank runs 24/7, so you can easily explore temples or shop for souvenirs anytime. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm—all at an unbeatable value.

This hotel is absolutely outstanding! Everything was perfect — from the warm welcome to the cleanliness and delicious meals. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive throughout the stay. Located in a serene, lush garden setting, it offers a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. It’s just a 500-meter walk to the ferry dock on the east bank, making access to the temples and sunrise views super convenient. The value for money is exceptional — you truly get more than what you pay for. If you're looking for a quiet, well-located, and beautifully maintained hotel in Luxor, this is the one. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Perfect for my needs! The affordability was a huge plus, and having the option to rent a bike made exploring the nearby attractions so convenient— I could go at my own pace. Of course, Ahmed is absolutely fantastic; his hospitality and local knowledge made the stay even more memorable. Bonus points for the location too—situated on the western bank of the Nile, it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, far from the crowds. It’s the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the serenity of Luxor while still being close to everything worth seeing.

Their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. This isn’t just a hotel—it feels like home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Luxor. You can truly stay relaxed and confident knowing you’re in good hands.

This has been the best hostel I've stayed at in Egypt so far. Karam, the host, was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the very first moment. He greeted us with a warm cup of tea, sped up check-in even though I arrived early, and made sure I could head straight to my room to rest. He provided excellent recommendations for city tours and gave thoughtful advice on every activity we considered. The hostel is spacious but never feels cold or impersonal—there’s a real sense of community. While the beds could use some improvement, the room and bathroom conditions are clean and well-maintained. The staff truly deserves a 10 out of 10. A standout experience that makes this place feel like home.

Staying at Elphardous Hotel was an absolute delight. The moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at home—the ambiance was warm and cozy, exactly what I needed after exploring Luxor’s temples. Staying at Venus Hostel in Luxor was an absolute highlight of my trip. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to both the Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, plus the Go Bus stop is right nearby. Public transit access couldn’t be more convenient. For the price, having breakfast included makes it an incredible value. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. It’s clear they care about guest comfort. Staying at Iberotel Luxor was a highlight of our trip to Luxor. Located right at the end of the main hotel street, it’s just steps away from the scenic Nile River promenade on the East Bank, with plenty of dining options nearby. The Winter Palace and Luxor Temple are both within a 10-minute walk—perfect for morning strolls. While Karnak Temple is a bit farther, a short taxi ride (about 10 minutes, around 50 EGP) gets you there quickly. The room was spacious, and while the furnishings were a bit dated, everything was clean and well-maintained—especially the bedding. The mattress was firm and supportive, not one of those sinking-in types, which made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was easily the best we had in Egypt—far more variety than at other hotels we’ve stayed at, including the famous Old Falls Hotel. It’s a real gem in terms of value and location, and I’d definitely return without hesitation.
