Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro

I stayed for seven nights and couldn't be happier with my experience. I didn't take many photos during the stay—most were snapped at checkout, so they’re a bit messy—but that doesn’t change how amazing the hotel truly is. The room was perfect for one person: clean, well-equipped, and very comfortable. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly and attentive service. Right across from the hotel is Lumine, making shopping and dining super convenient. With both JR and subway lines nearby, getting around Tokyo is a breeze. I took a direct train to the Harry Potter World in just 30 minutes—no transfers needed! Plus, the airport bus stops right outside the front door, which made my departure stress-free. This place offers unbeatable convenience and value. I’ll definitely be back again soon.

Sunshine City Prince Hotel Ikebukuro Tokyo

Staying at the Sunshine City Prince Hotel in Ikebukuro was a fantastic experience. Even though it’s a short walk from the nearest subway station, the spacious rooms make up for it completely—so comfortable and relaxing after a long day of exploring Tokyo. Being located right inside the Sunshine City complex means dining and shopping are just steps away, making every moment convenient and enjoyable. The housekeeping team is outstanding—they keep everything spotless and fresh daily, which really adds to the overall comfort. Staff members are polite and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. On our last day, we caught the limousine bus right at the hotel entrance to the airport—no need to carry luggage through the city, which was incredibly convenient. This hotel offers excellent value and a truly pleasant stay. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

Hotel Bellclassic Tokyo

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m happy to say it lived up to the high standard of my first visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout—check-in, check-out, and even just a quick hello in the hallway made me feel welcome. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a 3-minute walk from JR Otsuka Station, which is small and easy to navigate. Compared to walking to Shinjuku or Tokyo Station (which can be exhausting), this spot is a real gem for travelers who value convenience. Nearby, you’ve got Ikebukuro shopping district and the local Otsuka commercial street—plenty of options for dining and browsing. The only downside? No washing machine in the room. But no worries—I found a coin laundry nearby by searching 'coin laundry' on Google Maps. The one I used was Koinrandoripierohigashiikebukuroten, which is clean, well-maintained, and reasonably priced. It’s a great solution if you’re staying longer or need to freshen up your clothes. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and ease of access—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Tokyo.

ART HOTEL Nippori Lungwood

Staying at ART HOTEL Nippori Lungwood was an absolute delight. The room is surprisingly spacious—28 square meters—which feels like a luxury in central Tokyo, especially considering the price point. Most hotels in this area charge much more for rooms that are barely half the size. It's just a 3-minute walk from Nippori Station, making travel super convenient. I took the Keisei Skyliner directly to Narita Airport with no transfers needed—such a time-saver! Nearby attractions like Asakusa and Senso-ji Temple are within easy reach, perfect for exploring. Right across the street is a convenience store, and there's a dedicated Japanese restaurant on the basement floor. Plus, countless cafes and dining options surround the hotel, so meal choices are endless. The atmosphere is calm yet artistic, blending modern design with local charm. Everything about this stay exceeded my expectations—I’ll definitely return.

Everything you need is within walking distance. The room was small but clean and well-maintained, and the price was incredibly reasonable. I especially appreciated the included breakfast for just 1,500 JPY—it was surprisingly generous and satisfying. One major highlight? The self-service luggage storage room. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro North Exit, and there are several convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab snacks or essentials. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making check-in and any inquiries a breeze. I’ll admit, Japanese rooms are typically small, but this one worked perfectly for me—plenty of space to unpack two 28-inch suitcases, and since I spent most of my time exploring Tokyo, I didn’t need much time inside the room anyway. The hotel itself felt clean, well-maintained, and had a subtle, pleasant scent that added to the overall comfort. It’s a great balance of convenience, cleanliness, and value.
