Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

Staying at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi for the second time, and I’m still completely in love with this place. It’s now my top choice in Tokyo — the service is thoughtful and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. This time, I upgraded to a Deluxe Suite on the highest floor, directly facing the Imperial Palace. The view is absolutely breathtaking: panoramic cityscapes during the day, and magical nighttime views from the bathtub right by the window. The bathroom is spacious and fully separate, with premium fittings and an incredible layout that makes every moment feel luxurious. Room service is available 24/7 — breakfast delivered to your room costs the same as dining in-house, but I’d still choose delivery for the convenience and the generous fruit platter. The hotel’s VITRU bar on the lobby level is ranked among Asia’s Top 50 — designed with inspiration from a renowned Parisian bar, it has a sophisticated French aesthetic, excellent cocktails, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Guests can walk in easily, no hassle. Location-wise, while it’s not right next to the subway station (it’s on top of Otemachi Station, owned by Mitsui), getting to Tokyo Station is just a quick ride, and Silver Street is within 10 minutes by taxi. Plus, Otemachi itself is incredibly well-connected — way more convenient than areas like Azabu. Even though the hotel has been open a few years, everything still feels brand new, clean, and impeccably maintained. No signs of wear, just top-tier quality throughout. If you want a quiet, elevated urban retreat in central Tokyo with unbeatable views and exceptional service, this is it.

Tokyo Dome Hotel

Staying at Tokyo Dome Hotel was an absolute delight! The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, with excellent soundproofing—no noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms at all. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room just right without being too cold or too warm. With plenty of elevators available, I never had to wait long, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The hotel is literally steps away from a train station, so getting around Tokyo was super convenient. Everything was self-service for check-in/check-out, but staff were always nearby to help if needed—friendly and efficient. I loved having access to a bathtub, a kettle, and even a small electric cooker in the room—perfect for making tea or quick snacks. It’s rare to find such a well-designed, thoughtfully equipped hotel in central Tokyo. Highly recommend this place for both business and leisure travelers.

Aman Tokyo

Staying at Aman Tokyo was an absolute highlight of my trip to Tokyo. Located just a short walk from Tokyo Station, the hotel offers incredible convenience for exploring the city—everything is within easy reach. The facilities are top-notch: modern, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed with a serene Japanese aesthetic throughout. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished in minimalist Japanese style, and incredibly peaceful. The bed was plush and comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a busy day. Cleanliness stood out—every corner was spotless, with daily housekeeping ensuring everything stayed fresh and tidy. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, always ready to help with a warm smile. From the quiet ambiance to the thoughtful touches, this place feels like a true retreat in the heart of the city. It’s not just a hotel—it’s an experience. Hotel Bellclassic Tokyo

This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m happy to say it lived up to the high standard of my first visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout—check-in, check-out, and even just a quick hello in the hallway made me feel welcome. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a 3-minute walk from JR Otsuka Station, which is small and easy to navigate. Compared to walking to Shinjuku or Tokyo Station (which can be exhausting), this spot is a real gem for travelers who value convenience. Nearby, you’ve got Ikebukuro shopping district and the local Otsuka commercial street—plenty of options for dining and browsing. The only downside? No washing machine in the room. But no worries—I found a coin laundry nearby by searching 'coin laundry' on Google Maps. The one I used was Koinrandoripierohigashiikebukuroten, which is clean, well-maintained, and reasonably priced. It’s a great solution if you’re staying longer or need to freshen up your clothes. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value, comfort, and ease of access—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Tokyo.

Koko Hotel Residence Asakusa Kappabashi

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! The room was surprisingly spacious for Tokyo—our family of four could easily spread out all four suitcases in the living area without feeling cramped. Staying on a higher floor offered stunning views of Tokyo Skytree, and we even got to see fireworks one evening, which was magical. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—every person we met at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Plus, everything we needed was within walking distance: supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, and cafes. The only minor downside is that it’s a bit far from the nearest subway station (about a 10-minute walk), but it’s still manageable. Overall, this place delivers exceptional value, comfort, and hospitality. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Tokyo!

Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku

Staying at Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku was a real highlight of my trip to Tokyo. The hotel is literally steps away from Higashi Shinjuku Station, making commuting super convenient. Right outside the door, there's a convenience store—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. I appreciated the complimentary self-service amenities; everything I needed was available and well-stocked. The sleepwear was especially cozy and comfortable—so much so that I actually wanted to take it home! There’s also a vending machine and an ice maker on each floor, which came in handy during my stay. The only minor note: the room lighting is a bit dim, but it’s not an issue when you’re trying to sleep. What truly stood out was the care I received when I unexpectedly fell ill during my visit. The night staff went above and beyond with kind support and assistance—I’ll never forget how thoughtful they were. This place isn’t just about location and comfort; it’s about genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Tokyo.

Staying at Vessel Inn Ueno Iriya Station was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from check-in onwards—great service! The room is compact but very clean and cozy, with a lovely view of Tokyo Skytree right outside the window. It’s especially magical in the evening when the tower lights up. The hotel is super convenient, just a short 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Iriya Station. There's a 7-Eleven and a drugstore nearby for all your essentials. If you're heading toward Kitazawa or north, Exit 4 is perfect; if you're going toward Nakameguro via Ueno Station, use Exit 1—easy navigation. Park Hyatt Tokyo

Staying at Park Hyatt Tokyo felt like being wrapped in pure luxury from the moment I stepped in. The service is truly next-level—thoughtful, discreet, and flawless. I spent hours in my room sipping tea or wine while gazing at the view of Mount Fuji or the glittering skyline of Tokyo at night. It’s breathtaking—truly unbeatable. The room was impeccably cleaned twice daily, yet I never saw the housekeeping staff, which speaks volumes about how seamless their work is. The library is a hidden gem—calm, elegant, and perfect for unwinding. Staff were incredibly helpful, especially one team member named Xiaoqi Sun who went above and beyond to help me recover a lost piece of jewelry. So grateful! Several restaurant staff spoke fluent Chinese, making communication smooth and stress-free. The club lounge staff were warm and attentive too. My only note: there’s a persistent gasoline smell near the second-floor entrance, where staff often stand guard. It’s not just unpleasant—it’s concerning for their well-being. I sincerely hope this gets addressed during the upcoming renovation. Otherwise, this hotel is absolutely perfect.

Staying at Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is unbeatable—right next to the subway station, with a direct entrance from the basement restaurant level. It’s just a 10-minute walk to Shinjuku’s heart, making exploring the city effortless. The room was much larger than average for a Japanese hotel, clean, well-maintained, and stocked with high-quality toiletries—so refreshing. Breakfast was a highlight: a wide variety of options, from traditional Japanese dishes to Western favorites, all fresh and delicious. One of the best parts? The view from the south wing faces Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. During the day, you can spot Mount Fuji on clear days; at night, the building’s stunning light show lights up the skyline. Just a short stroll away is the 52nd-floor observation deck—completely free and offering breathtaking panoramic views of Tokyo’s glittering cityscape. I absolutely love the neighborhood—quiet, scenic, and just a short walk from the subway, making it super convenient for exploring Tokyo. Though the hotel is 40 years old, the main building was well-maintained during my stay. The room had clearly been renovated recently—clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke English fluently, which made everything smooth and welcoming. It’s clear this place takes pride in its service and upkeep. I’d definitely come back again—it’s a standout choice in Tokyo.
