Renartiss Isaakiy St.Petersburg Hotel (ex. Renaissance St Petersburg Baltic)
Staying at Renartiss Isaakiy in Saint Petersburg was a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of the city, just steps away from St. Isaac's Cathedral and within walking distance to the Winter Palace. Public transport is super convenient, making it easy to explore everything nearby. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained—very comfortable for our stay. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, which made check-in and check-out smooth. One thing to note: there’s a mandatory 350 rubles per person immigration registration fee upon departure, and it must be paid in cash. We recommend bringing some cash just in case. Overall, this hotel offers great value, exceptional location, and a welcoming atmosphere—definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Saint Petersburg.
Aparthotel Vertical
We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The space was more than sufficient for eight people—no crowding at all—and the photos truly matched reality. The soundproofing in the unit is excellent; even with loud music outside, we couldn’t hear anything when the door was closed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. In the lobby, right across from the front desk, there’s a large aquarium filled with turtles and other aquatic life. If you’re waiting to check in, it’s nice to just relax and watch the fish swim around. Overall, the stay left a very positive impression. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily return.

Staying at Aston Hotel was an absolute delight. Located right on Nevsky Prospekt, the hotel offers unbeatable access to public transportation—trams, buses, and the metro are just steps away. The surrounding area is packed with great restaurants, and it's a short walk to iconic sites like the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood and Kazan Cathedral. I even took a relaxing boat ride along the Neva River, which offered stunning views of the city’s historic skyline. The breakfast buffet was exceptional—plenty of variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious options. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me book a ride-share, making my travel seamless. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. This place truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and charm. I’ll definitely be coming back.
The Kempf Hotel
This was my first time staying at a hotel in Russia, and The Kempf Hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to address any concerns I had—friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and warmly heated, though it did get a bit too hot for comfort. I noticed there were no mosquito nets, which made the evenings a little challenging with some bugs around. Still, the overall experience was excellent—great location, comfortable bed, and outstanding service. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to fellow travelers.

For the price, this hotel is an absolute steal just steps away from Red Square. The location is super easy to find and very convenient for getting around by metro. While there’s no elevator, the building isn’t too tall, so climbing the stairs isn’t a big issue. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient during check-in. One of the best things? It’s surprisingly quiet at night—no noise disturbances at all. If you’re looking for a great value stay in a fantastic central spot, this is a top recommendation.
