Blossom House·HouHai Beijing

Staying at Blossom House·Hou Hai Beijing in Yangfang Hutong was such a delightful experience. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Houhai Lake and the Drum Tower, making it perfect for exploring Beijing’s historic heart. The hotel’s interior design stands out with its creative use of irregular shapes, which might not be everyone’s taste, but I appreciated the unique character. What truly impressed me was the comfort of the bed—excellent mattress and high-quality linens made for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast offered both set menus and à la carte options, so there was something for everyone, and nothing went to waste. The staff—Liu Linlin, Xiao Xi, and Xiao Zheng—were incredibly warm and attentive. They helped with luggage, offered free yogurt and fresh fruit, and always had a smile. It felt less like staying in a hotel and more like being welcomed into a home. This place has a special charm, and I’ll definitely return.

TRUE GO Hotel · Jingxing (Beijing Xiehe Hospital Wangfujing)

Staying at TRUE GO Hotel · Jingxing (Beijing Xiehe Hospital Wangfujing) was a delightful surprise. Located just within the 2nd Ring Road, it’s incredibly convenient—close to everything but tucked away in a quiet alleyway. The room is compact but perfectly functional, with a well-designed bathroom that features full separation of wet and dry areas. Hot water flows strong and steady, and the lighting options are thoughtful—plus, motorized curtains and sheer blinds controlled via remote make for a cozy, customizable atmosphere. The desk is the right size and height for working on a laptop or doing paperwork, and there's even a built-in power card so I can charge my devices safely while out. I especially appreciated the breakfast area: partitioned for small group meetings or business discussions, equipped with tea kettles, coffee machines, and a warm, welcoming vibe. At night, the complimentary porridge service is a real treat—just one bowl, some pickles, and a steamed meat bun, and I didn’t need to worry about late-night snacks. Food delivery options nearby are plentiful, and the robot room service arrives quietly with soft audio cues instead of jarring phone calls—much more pleasant than other hotels where robots seem like they’re trying to scare you. The laundry area has two washing machines, a sink, an ironing board, and even a steam iron. They provide Blue Moon detergent and Dettol disinfectant—great touches. The dryer is located inside a glass-roofed courtyard, though only one unit is available. There’s also a small fridge (though it’s not cooled in winter), which comes with two bottles of mineral water daily, plus soda options like Sprite and Fanta—though I don’t drink carbonated drinks, so not sure if they’re replenished daily. Leftover food? Just use the microwave by the kitchen door—it’s handy and accessible. The front desk is open 24/7 and staff are attentive and friendly. Getting there is easy: follow Jinbao Street into Xiao Yabao Lane, and the illuminated sign on the rooftop makes it easy to spot. Taxis are readily available. A few small suggestions: adding draft strips to the glass courtyard doors would improve insulation, and the dining trays or bowls could be upgraded to ones with heat-resistant bases. Overall, this place nails the balance between style, comfort, and functionality. It’s ideal for business travelers who value efficiency, quiet, and thoughtful details. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip to Beijing.

Peking Yard Boutique Hotel

Staying at this traditional courtyard hotel in Beijing was hands down the best decision I made during my trip. Stepping into the shaded courtyard with its weathered bricks, gray tiles, and red pillars draped in lanterns instantly transported me away from the bustling city outside. The moment I arrived, I felt like I’d stepped into a quiet chapter of old Beijing’s history. What truly surprised me was the on-site café tucked within the serene garden—wooden tables under a glass roof let sunlight stream in, and sipping a perfectly brewed latte here, surrounded by the subtle scent of greenery, created a magical blend of Eastern charm and Western comfort. The lounge area is equally special—soft lighting, elegant plants, and tasteful design that balances traditional aesthetics with modern coziness. It’s the perfect place to unwind and embrace the art of slow living. Located just steps from the subway and popular alleys, yet peaceful and secluded, it truly embodies the idea of ‘hidden in plain sight.’ Whether you're seeking cultural immersion or simply a restful retreat, this place delivers everything. From the atmosphere to the thoughtful service, every detail felt authentic and exceptional. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Beijing.

TRUE GO Hotel (Beijing Jianguomen Capital Pediatric Institute)

We arrived at the hotel through a quiet alleyway, which initially made me a bit uneasy—kind of like we’d taken a wrong turn. But then it clicked: being right on the main street would’ve meant a much higher price tag, so walking 100 meters was totally worth it. The front desk staff were genuinely friendly—the lady and gentleman both warm and professional, making check-in smooth and welcoming. The room itself exceeded my expectations. It faced a small courtyard, so the view wasn’t much to write home about, but the space was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. I especially loved the crisp white linens, plush mattress, and well-cushioned pillows—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Free drinks were replenished daily, which was a nice touch. The smart home system was a highlight—lighting and curtains could be controlled right from the bed, adding real convenience. Location-wise, it’s excellent—close to everything without the premium price. Overall, an outstanding stay with great value. I’d definitely come back.
