It’s just a 3-kilometer ride to the Petronas Twin Towers, and everything you need is literally downstairs at Sunway Putra Mall. With over 300 brands and more than 80 dining options, shopping and eating out are a breeze. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a modern minimalist touch—so comfortable! From the upper floors, the city skyline view at night was stunning. The bed was incredibly soft, the free Wi-Fi stayed strong throughout my trip, and all toiletries were thoughtfully provided. Breakfast was a highlight—huge variety including local favorites like coconut rice, fresh pastries, hot breakfast items, and Western dishes. Staff were friendly, efficient, and even gave great tips on local attractions. The outdoor pool and fitness center were well-maintained and perfect for unwinding. Free parking was a huge plus, especially if you’re driving. Whether traveling with family or on business, this hotel fits every need. My stay at Hotel Grand Mutiara was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff greeted me in a very rude and dismissive manner, even demanding payment for a tax I had already paid through the booking platform—this was completely unjustified. The bathroom was faulty, with constant leaks making it unusable. There was no housekeeping service at all, no working TV in the room, and absolutely no breakfast included. For a hotel charging what they do, these are basic expectations that should be met. Unfortunately, none of them were. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, maybe it's barely acceptable, but if you want comfort, cleanliness, and proper service, this hotel falls far short. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone seeking a decent experience in Kuala Lumpur.
