Zonk Hotel Nakasu-Deaibashi

The room was spotlessly clean and the facilities were excellent—everything worked perfectly and made the stay very comfortable. The location is outstanding, just a short walk from the subway station, making it super easy to get around Fukuoka city or explore nearby attractions. I loved how close I was to local restaurants and lively night markets, perfect for trying authentic Japanese street food. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel offers incredible value. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

UNPLAN Fukuoka

Staying at UNPLAN Fukuoka was an absolute delight. The location near Ohori Park Station is super convenient—though the station closes at midnight, it's just a short walk away, and the neighborhood feels safe and welcoming. The hostel itself is spotless, with a unique, international vibe that makes it feel like home away from home. I’ve already planned my return visit! What stood out most was the guest mix—more Western travelers than Asian ones—which kept the atmosphere calm and quiet. Perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep or a relaxing break in Fukuoka. Highly recommend this gem!

HOTEL JAPANESQUE FUKUOKA

I was really impressed with my stay at HOTEL JAPANESQUE FUKUOKA. The room was significantly larger than other similarly priced hotels I've stayed in Japan, making it feel much more spacious and comfortable—especially for travelers used to a bit more roominess like myself. The atmosphere was quiet and clean throughout, and the amenities were thoughtfully included: two USB charging ports in the room, free Wi-Fi that worked reliably, and a convenient self-service laundry area. There’s also an on-site cafeteria with a microwave, so I could easily heat up meals and enjoy them right in the hotel—perfect for saving time and money. Smoking guests will appreciate the designated outdoor smoking area. While the hotel isn’t right in the heart of Tenjin, it’s just a short walk from the Kōshu Line subway station, which connects directly to key areas like Nakasu, Tenjin, and Ohori Park—making transit super easy. Overall, this place offers excellent value for money and a truly relaxing experience. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Fukuoka.

Lyf Tenjin Fukuoka

I knew the room was small from the photos, but walking in still surprised me a bit 😂. I booked a double room for one person, and honestly, if two people were staying, it would feel extremely cramped—my 28-inch suitcase couldn’t even be fully opened, and there’s almost no walking space. That said, if I’m traveling solo again, I’d definitely book here once more! The kitchen is a real highlight—fully equipped with an oven, both large and small tables, and everything you need to cook. Preparing meals and enjoying them in the shared lounge area feels so relaxing and homey. Location-wise, it’s convenient without being too noisy—perfectly balanced between city buzz and quiet retreat. Plus, it’s just a short walk to Blue Bottle, crossing the street right at the corner. Great value, great vibe, and totally worth a stay.

Fukuoka Recent Hotel

We stayed at Fukuoka Recent Hotel for two nights during a concert event at Fukuoka Dome, and it was an excellent experience overall. We arrived late—after midnight following our flight from Haneda—and were initially worried about check-in timing. However, after calling the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that check-in could be extended until 12:00 AM, with clear instructions provided over the phone, including guidance on the main entrance and access via the service gate. The location is very convenient: just 15–20 minutes by train from Fukuoka Airport (with one transfer), and roughly the same distance to PayPay Dome. From Kōsaka-gūmae Station, exit 3 is just a 3-minute walk—however, if you take the ground-level elevator (exit 4), you’ll end up walking much further through dimly lit, poorly illuminated streets, which felt quite unsafe at night. Be sure to plan your route accordingly. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so pick up essentials like breakfast items before arriving—luckily, there’s a McDonald’s close by, perfect for a quick morning bite. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, ideal for solo travelers. While the air conditioning was off, the building’s central heating made the room feel quite warm, but thankfully the in-room humidifier and air purifier helped maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The private bathtub was a nice touch, but even better was the large shared bathhouse—both times we visited around 11 PM, we were able to enter immediately without any wait. The bath area features four shower heads and a sizable tub suitable for 4–5 people. That said, the changing room is quite narrow, so it might get crowded during peak hours, but our late-night visits ensured smooth access. Amenities were well thought out—complimentary drinks including coffee, tea, green tea, and bottled water were available, and all toiletries were high quality. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and helpful throughout our stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for future trips to Fukuoka—especially if you’re visiting for events or want a quiet, reliable base with great value. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

The Lively Fukuoka Hakata

Staying at The Lively Fukuoka Hakata was an absolute highlight of my trip to Fukuoka. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Hakata, just a short walk from shopping streets, local eateries, and public transit. What really stood out was the all-you-can-drink beer service throughout the stay—no extra cost, unlimited refreshments, and such a fun, lively atmosphere that felt more like a social hub than a hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, with the bartenders going the extra mile to make guests feel at home. Despite the affordable price point, the quality of service, comfort, and overall vibe made this place feel much more premium. If you're looking for a great mix of convenience, value, and good times, this hotel is a must-try.

Hotel Forza Hakataeki Chikushi-Guchi II

Staying at Hotel Forza Hakataeki Chikushi-Guchi II in Fukuoka was a real highlight, especially thanks to the fantastic LG laundry sanitizer in the room. It’s incredibly convenient—just toss your used clothes inside, press a button, and in about 45 minutes, they’re sanitized and fresh with no lingering odors. What really impressed me was how it handled down garments: the feathers automatically fluffed up after the cycle, saving me from having to manually shake or air them out. As someone who travels frequently and values hygiene, this feature made my stay so much more comfortable and stress-free. It’s a small but game-changing touch that sets this hotel apart. Definitely a top pick for travelers looking for both comfort and smart amenities.

Montan Hakata

I rarely book capsule hotels, but since I was visiting Fukuoka during peak season and most regular hotels were fully booked, I decided to give this one a try. To my surprise, it turned out to be an excellent experience! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the subway station and surrounded by great dining options. The staff were incredibly helpful; I received a pre-arrival email confirming I could check in luggage as early as 7 AM, which was perfect for me since my flight arrived late in the afternoon. No need to lug my suitcase around town—I could explore freely before returning to settle in. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make a big difference. It's not just about saving money—it's about getting real value for your stay. If I ever come back to Fukuoka, I’ll definitely consider staying here again. Highly recommend!

A true gem with great value—highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, authentic Japanese guesthouse vibe.

Plaza Fuyo Hotel

Staying at Plaza Fuyo Hotel in Fukuoka was an absolutely wonderful experience—nearly perfect! The location is ideal, with easy access to major attractions via the subway. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. What really stood out was the kitchenette in the room, allowing us to prepare our own breakfast—super convenient and budget-friendly. The hot water in the shower was excellent, with strong pressure and consistent temperature, making it perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. We walked a lot each day, but still managed to sleep deeply and wake up naturally refreshed. The only minor issue was some noise from nearby izakaya guests late at night, but that didn’t detract much from the overall experience. Also appreciate the luggage storage service, since check-in and check-out times are far apart—no need to rush around with bags. Unfortunately, we couldn’t book during peak weekend dates, so had to switch hotels mid-stay. If you’re planning a trip to Fukuoka, I highly recommend securing a reservation early—it’s well worth it. A fantastic place to stay!

Golden Guest House Hakata

This was my first time staying at a guesthouse during my trip to Japan, and I'm so glad I did! There were quite a few fellow travelers from Korea here, which made it easy to connect and even form some great travel friendships. The staff and owner were incredibly kind, and the place is kept spotlessly clean with excellent safety standards—really impressive for a budget-friendly stay. One thing to note: there's no laundry facility on-site, but there's a coin laundry just a 1-2 minute walk away, which makes it super convenient. Overall, this little gem offered a warm, welcoming vibe with a fantastic location in Hakata. If you're looking for an authentic, friendly atmosphere without breaking the bank, I highly recommend Golden Guest House Hakata—it’s definitely a standout choice.
