Staying at VIA INN Shinjuku for the first time was a refreshing experience—truly different from other chains I’ve tried in Japan. The room is small, but it truly lives up to the saying ‘small but perfectly formed.’ Everything was spotlessly clean, and toiletries are available at the front desk upon request—eco-friendly and convenient. Though the bathroom is compact, it has a bathtub, shower, and a smart toilet with all the essentials. The smart TV supports screen mirroring and comes with popular apps like YouTube and Netflix—perfect for relaxing after a long day. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and I really enjoyed the bath and hair products. The shampoo, in particular, didn’t leave my hair greasy afterward—it left it soft and smooth, especially when paired with the Panasonic hairdryer provided. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring authentic Japanese dishes that brought a cozy, local feel to the morning. But what stood out most was the staff—the Japanese front desk team were exceptionally friendly and attentive, some of the best service I’ve experienced anywhere. Located right in the heart of Shibuya, you’re just steps away from vibrant nightlife and easy access to subway lines—no need to worry about missing out on Tokyo’s electric energy. I’ll definitely be back.

Right on the ground floor is a convenience store, which made late-night snacks or essentials super easy. Just steps away from the hotel are lots of restaurants and cafes—perfect for dinner after a long day exploring. It’s only about an 8-9 minute walk to Akasaka-mitsuke Station, making public transit access super convenient. The location is quiet yet close to everything. With such a great balance of comfort, value, and location, I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Tokyo.

This was my favorite among three hotels during my nine-day Tokyo trip. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful without being intrusive. Every detail in the room felt thoughtfully considered: spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. Location-wise, it’s just a short 8-minute walk from both JR and subway stations, making it easy to explore central Tokyo. What really stood out was the large convenience store right next to the hotel—everything you need for snacks, meals, or essentials, plus a small kitchen area available for guest use. It’s such a practical touch for travelers wanting flexibility. If I ever return to Tokyo, this will be my top choice. Truly excellent value and a standout stay.

The location is unbeatable: the hotel connects directly to underground walkways leading to Ebisu Garden Place and the subway station. From here, getting to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, or simply strolling around the neighborhood is incredibly easy. Whether you're exploring the city or just relaxing nearby, everything feels within reach. It's clear this hotel values guest comfort and convenience. I’ll definitely be choosing The Westin Tokyo again on my next trip to Tokyo.

That said, prices are on the higher side, and parking is extremely limited and hard to secure. Still, considering the prime location near Akasaka, easy access to Ginza and Roppongi via subway, and the overall high standard of service and comfort, it’s absolutely worth it. A great balance of convenience, quality, and urban charm.

Even though it’s a short walk from the nearest subway station, the spacious rooms make up for it completely—so comfortable and relaxing after a long day of exploring Tokyo. Being located right inside the Sunshine City complex means dining and shopping are just steps away, making every moment convenient and enjoyable. The housekeeping team is outstanding—they keep everything spotless and fresh daily, which really adds to the overall comfort. Staff members are polite and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. On our last day, we caught the limousine bus right at the hotel entrance to the airport—no need to carry luggage through the city, which was incredibly convenient. This hotel offers excellent value and a truly pleasant stay. I’d definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.
