The staff went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service; every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. While it’s not a luxury resort, the value for money is outstanding. Clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed, this hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort and convenience. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town, and I’ll be back again without hesitation.

We've visited Cape Town three times now, and without a doubt, Barry Hall Apartments has been the highlight of every trip. Rita’s warm welcome makes you feel right at home—her kindness truly sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. The team, led by Felicity, goes above and beyond: rooms are spotless, beds are neatly made, and dishes are washed and ready each day—perfect after a full day exploring. For a small extra fee, they even handle your laundry, which is incredibly convenient. Located in Sea Point, it's just a 2-minute walk to Regent Street, where you'll find plenty of great restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. It’s less than 10 minutes by car to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and downtown Cape Town, making everything easily accessible. Table Mountain and Lion’s Head rise majestically behind the neighborhood—just look out the bedroom window and you’ll see them daily. Walking down Regent Street offers stunning views of Lion’s Head, and if you keep going, you’ll reach Camps Bay, then follow the scenic Chapman’s Peak Drive all the way to Hout Bay. Don’t miss the beachfront promenade—7km of beautiful coastline where you can watch paragliders launch from Lion’s Head, float over the ocean, and land gracefully on the sand. We’re already planning our next visit in 2026, and Barry Hall will definitely be our home away from home. One of the most memorable and enjoyable stays we’ve had while traveling the world.

Their friendly attitude and quick response really turned the experience around. The location is perfect—just a short walk from major attractions and well-connected by public transit. Overall, this place delivers exceptional value, great service, and a prime location close to downtown. I’ll definitely be back.

Located just a short walk from the V&A Waterfront and its vibrant array of restaurants, this hotel offers excellent access to dining and entertainment options. The building itself feels secure with reliable entry access to the canal area—perfect for evening strolls. That said, the unit could use a deeper clean occasionally—especially around the kitchen sink, microwave, and tile grout where some buildup is noticeable. While proper laundry detergent was provided, there was no dishwasher-safe soap included, which was a small inconvenience. Overall, the value for money is solid, especially for a central location. One minor suggestion: consider reversing the fridge door’s swing direction so it opens into the kitchen rather than toward the sleeping area. It’s an easy fix with basic tools and would significantly improve daily convenience. A thoughtful upgrade that makes a big difference.
