Staying at The St. Regis Chengdu for the first time was truly unforgettable. From the moment I walked into the lobby, the warm welcome and attention to detail made me feel instantly at home—like I’d been here before. Special thanks to Sam from the guest relations team, who personally showed us around the room after check-in. He explained every feature with patience and care, even pointing out little things like how to adjust the lighting or use the minibar. What really blew me away was when he upgraded our room and added a complimentary breakfast for two—such a thoughtful surprise that turned an already great trip into something truly special. Even though the hotel has been open for ten years, everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The public areas are spotless, and the room itself had elegant decor with modern touches—every corner looked pristine, clearly cared for by a dedicated maintenance team. Breakfast was excellent: a great mix of Western and local flavors, including authentic Sichuan dishes like mapo tofu and kung pao chicken that brought the city’s taste right to my plate. I didn’t get a chance to visit the iconic 27th-floor bar this time, but the fourth-floor lounge was just as inviting—great ambiance, friendly staff, and a bartender who actually listened when my friend said a cocktail wasn’t quite to his liking. Instead of brushing it off, he asked questions and offered a replacement drink—so attentive and respectful. This kind of service isn’t just about luxury; it’s about making you feel seen.
