Xinhui Hotel
We stayed at Xinhui Hotel while attending a concert in Shanghai, and it was an excellent choice. The hotel is just a short 5-minute walk from the stadium—perfect for families with kids. There are tons of dining options nearby, from casual street food to authentic local restaurants, so we never had trouble finding something good to eat. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly—any questions or concerns were addressed promptly and with genuine care. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I stayed at Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Caobao Road Metro Station, and unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable dip in the floor right by the door, nearly causing me to trip. The toilet lid was broken and wouldn’t snap back into place, which was quite frustrating. While there was no water outage during my stay, the shower pressure was extremely low—hardly any hot water flow. After checking other reviews, I saw multiple guests mentioning similar issues, confirming that these aren’t isolated incidents. The room condition and maintenance clearly need improvement. Despite being near the metro station, the overall value for money isn’t great. I’d recommend the hotel to reconsider its upkeep and guest experience.
