The elevator was out of order, so I had to climb up to the third floor—very inconvenient, especially with luggage. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable dip in the floor right by the door, nearly causing me to trip. The toilet lid was broken and wouldn’t snap back into place, which was quite frustrating. While there was no water outage during my stay, the shower pressure was extremely low—hardly any hot water flow. After checking other reviews, I saw multiple guests mentioning similar issues, confirming that these aren’t isolated incidents. The room condition and maintenance clearly need improvement. Despite being near the metro station, the overall value for money isn’t great. I’d recommend the hotel to reconsider its upkeep and guest experience.

Location-wise, it’s perfect — right in the heart of Xujiahui, just steps from a big shopping mall and two authentic local Shanghainese restaurants. I had a delicious meal at one of them, and the food was so good I could’ve stayed there all night!
