Absolutely delighted with this stay! The location, space, and service all exceeded my expectations. I was originally booked into a nearby Qianji Hotel on Huaihai Middle Road, but their room was tiny and had terrible soundproofing—thankfully I switched rooms at the last minute. This Atour X Hotel offers much more spacious accommodations for the price, with a smart wet/dry bathroom layout and an incredibly comfortable bed that made for a restful night. The neighborhood is fantastic—plenty of great dining options within walking distance, and it's just a 10-minute stroll to Xujiahui Bookstore, shopping areas, as well as museums like the Xu Guangqi Museum and the Film Museum. It’s also very close to the metro station and the Shanghai Stadium, making travel around the city super convenient. What really stood out was the late-night congee delivery—more than just a simple meal, it showed genuine care and attention to guest comfort. With such great value, excellent service, and unbeatable access, I’d definitely come back. The metro connection makes exploring Shanghai effortless.

Stayed at MGM Shanghai West Bund on January 1st, and despite the hotel being busy, every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and attentive 👍 While our room was delayed slightly, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade—what a treat! The view from the window was stunning, and my kids had an absolute blast exploring the space 🥳 This was my first visit to this property in eight years, having moved cities since last time, and it still managed to exceed expectations 💖 The front desk team—both the guys and girls—were so warm and professional, making us feel right at home 🌷 When we checked out, I casually mentioned how much my child enjoyed the stay, and they immediately handed us a little lion plushie as a sweet keepsake! That kind of thoughtful gesture truly made the trip unforgettable 🤩 It’s not just about the luxury—it’s the genuine care and attention that makes this hotel stand out. A perfect blend of comfort, charm, and surprise. Definitely coming back.

The room I booked was the smallest option, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a freestanding soaking tub—a delightful bonus I didn’t expect (though I didn’t get to use it!). The location is unbeatable: directly facing Xujiahui Library and the Catholic Church, offering a peaceful morning view. Check-out was quick and smooth, and there’s a dedicated counter for luggage storage, which is super convenient. Overall, the service, ambiance, and attention to detail made this stay exceptional. I stayed at Jinjiang Inn Shanghai Caobao Road Metro Station, and unfortunately the experience didn’t meet expectations. The elevator was out of order, so I had to climb up to the third floor—very inconvenient, especially with luggage. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable dip in the floor right by the door, nearly causing me to trip. The toilet lid was broken and wouldn’t snap back into place, which was quite frustrating. While there was no water outage during my stay, the shower pressure was extremely low—hardly any hot water flow. After checking other reviews, I saw multiple guests mentioning similar issues, confirming that these aren’t isolated incidents. The room condition and maintenance clearly need improvement. Despite being near the metro station, the overall value for money isn’t great. I’d recommend the hotel to reconsider its upkeep and guest experience.

With its excellent location, peaceful atmosphere, and thoughtful service, this place offers incredible value. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai.

I accidentally booked the wrong room type, which caused some inconvenience for the staff, but they handled it with incredible patience and kindness, never once showing frustration. The room itself is spacious and well-designed, with modern furnishings and everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept like a baby. Location-wise, it’s perfect — right in the heart of Xujiahui, just steps from a big shopping mall and two authentic local Shanghainese restaurants. I had a delicious meal at one of them, and the food was so good I could’ve stayed there all night! With its great value, friendly team, and unbeatable location, I’ll definitely be coming back next time I visit Shanghai.
