We were initially booked through our tour group, but after experiencing the excellent service and comfort at Chunchen Hotel, we decided to book additional nights directly. The staff, especially a young lady at the front desk, was incredibly friendly and attentive—she even proactively arranged a room facing the quiet courtyard, knowing we were concerned about sleep quality. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The hotel’s overall ambiance is calm and welcoming, located just steps away from Kunming Railway Station and Wanda Plaza, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast can get busy in the morning, so splitting the dining area into two smaller sections would help reduce crowding. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations—great value, top-notch service, and a peaceful stay. We’ll definitely be returning.

We stopped by Venus International Hotel in Kunming on our way back from Shangri-La to Guizhou on October 6th, and it turned out to be a perfect pit stop. The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm and attentive—always ready to help with anything. Floor attendants were diligent and respectful, making sure everything ran smoothly. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable stay. What really stood out was the breakfast buffet—wide variety of dishes, fresh ingredients, excellent taste, and immaculate hygiene. Parking was easy and convenient, which is always a plus when traveling by car. The hotel is just a short walk from the metro station, making public transit super accessible. Plus, it's located in a vibrant commercial area with tons of restaurants nearby—dining options are endless, whether you're craving local flavors or something more familiar. We felt safe, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout our stay. Definitely planning to come back if we visit Kunming again. A fantastic choice for both business and leisure travelers.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is spotless, and housekeeping comes by every day to keep everything fresh and tidy. What really blew me away was the complimentary room upgrade at check-in—even though we arrived late, the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel special. I’m obsessed with Atour’s signature scent—it’s subtle, calming, and makes the whole experience so much more relaxing. They even offered a late checkout, which was incredibly helpful. From cleanliness to personal touches, the service was top-notch. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Kunming—and I’ll be recommending this hotel to everyone.

Orange Kunming Railway Station Hotel

Staying at Orange Kunming Railway Station Hotel was a great experience. The hotel is just a 10-minute walk from the train station, and the street in front is full of local eateries and small shops—super lively and convenient for grabbing a bite anytime. Inside, the room design is clean and modern with good lighting and spacious layout. The TV supports screen mirroring, which made watching movies or shows really enjoyable. The bathroom features a well-designed wet-dry separation, and there’s plenty of room to move around—no cramped feeling. I was especially impressed by the free laundry facilities: two washing machines and two dryers, perfect for longer stays. Getting to the airport by taxi takes about 30 minutes, which is very reasonable. The only minor downside is that soundproofing isn’t ideal—some noise from neighboring rooms can be heard—but overall, the place is quiet at night, so it didn’t affect my sleep. All in all, fantastic value for money and highly recommend for travelers passing through Kunming.

The location is unbeatable: just a short walk from the bustling street, where dining, shopping, and exploring are all within easy reach. Special shoutout to front desk staff Xiao Wang—so attentive and thoughtful! He upgraded our room for free and even brought our luggage up to the room without us having to ask, especially appreciated since our little one was already asleep. The breakfast was a highlight—authentic rice noodles with generous portions, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. From service to comfort, every detail felt top-notch. This has been the most satisfying hotel stay we've ever experienced. The service was exceptional—from the front desk staff who offered to wash, dry, fold, and neatly hang our laundry on the door handle, to the nightly free rice porridge and pickled vegetables served from 9 PM to 11 PM. The porridge was richly flavored and incredibly comforting. There's a foosball table in the lobby that our kids loved playing with, plus complimentary craft kits available for children to enjoy. The front desk also provides small hygiene packs with alcohol wipes, floss, and other essentials—just grab what you need. Breakfast was outstanding: diverse options and fresh fruit that changes daily, all sweet and delicious. Our housekeeping staff were consistently kind and thorough—every time we returned, the room was spotless, amenities fully restocked, and they even noticed we had kids. They quietly added extra child-sized slippers and toothbrushes, even leaving a handwritten note checking if we needed anything else. The room itself was quiet despite being near the street—double-glazed windows blocked out all noise completely. It came equipped with a mini-fridge, smart toilet, and a voice assistant ("Xiao Du Xiao Du") that made everything super convenient. Free drinks like Jianli Bao, AD Calcium Milk, and little snacks were stocked in the room—our kids asked multiple times if we could get more! The only minor wish? A free satellite movie channel would be a nice upgrade since the current TV offers only basic channels and paid films. But honestly, with everything else going so well, this is already an incredible value. We’d definitely come back.
