Ginco Hotel

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient—just a 5-minute walk to PAC and about 10 minutes to Jing'an Temple. The entrance isn’t very obvious, but once you step into the lobby, it feels like stepping into a hidden oasis with a calm, elegant vibe. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary suite upgrade—huge space, beautifully designed, and super comfortable. The bed and pillows made for an excellent night’s sleep. I was actually worried I wouldn’t get to try the traditional Chinese healing massage, but the therapist had time right before check-out. It was such a relaxing experience—my back felt so much better afterward. This little gem truly delivers on comfort, service, and unexpected touches. Definitely worth staying at again.

The front desk staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel truly welcomed, like I was staying at a home away from home. One highlight? Free late-night snacks—a light, refreshing bowl of wonton soup. And the breakfast? A real surprise—served until 12 PM, perfect for those who like to sleep in or enjoy a relaxed brunch. There’s a wide variety of options, all fresh and delicious. It’s rare to find such quality and flexibility in a budget-friendly hotel. This place truly delivers beyond expectations.

The Drama Hotel

Staying at The Drama Hotel in Shanghai was an absolute delight. Each room features a personalized name projected onto the wall, perfectly matching the hotel’s theatrical theme—especially cool since it's right next to Sleep No More and across from The St. Regis. Parking is convenient and costs the same as what you’d pay at The St. Regis, which is a nice surprise. The lighting throughout the hotel has a dramatic, stage-like flair, but don’t worry—our room got plenty of natural light when we opened the curtains. The staff were exceptional: friendly floor attendants and cheerful front desk team members who even handed us a little gift bag for our kids when we checked out. And the fridge? Fully stocked with complimentary drinks—beer included, no need to think twice. It’s rare to find such thoughtful touches combined with great style and value. This place feels like a hidden gem. I’ll definitely be back.

Parkview Hotel

This hotel truly turned out to be my lucky break during my trip to Shanghai! I had just attended a mesmerizing concert by the Berlin Philharmonic, and after the second performance, I only had a blurry photo from the event. But what a surprise—while leaving the hotel, I ran into Professor Yang and the renowned flutist at the lobby entrance, waiting for their ride. My phone was low on battery, but we managed to take a crystal-clear photo together. To my delight, Professor Yang even told me, 'You’re the luckiest one here!' That moment made the whole experience unforgettable. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient—just a short metro ride to the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. With its welcoming vibe and unbeatable value, I can’t wait to come back.

We were on a business trip near the end of the year and I decided to recommend The Longemont Shanghai—a hotel I’ve always had a soft spot for. My colleagues loved it right away, especially how well it balanced quality and value. As a five-star property, the rooms are all on higher floors, offering quiet, spacious accommodations with great views. Hyatt On The Bund Shanghai

Staying at Hyatt On The Bund Shanghai during New Year's was an absolute highlight. Special thanks to Lorna from the guest relations team—amazingly patient and professional despite the massive crowds on such a busy holiday. She handled all my concerns with care and efficiency. The service quality is truly consistent with Hyatt’s world-class standards: warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Even with high demand at The Club Lounge, staff still offered gracious, low-bow service to members—such a nice touch. The welcome fruit and breakfast were both delicious and well-prepared. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking. The Bund skyline is stunning day or night—definitely worth every moment spent by the window. I’ve already taken countless photos and can’t wait to come back. Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund

Staying at the Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund was an unforgettable experience. Though it’s a historic property, the cleanliness and maintenance are impeccable—no musty odors or signs of aging anywhere, from the grand lobby to the room itself. The elegant old-world charm is perfectly preserved, creating a warm yet luxurious atmosphere. My room’s bathroom had clearly been recently renovated, featuring a smart toilet with bidet functions and a showerhead with strong water pressure—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The service exceeded expectations from the very beginning: as I arrived at Dianchi Road, a staff member was already waiting by the door. After confirming I was a guest, he immediately took my luggage and carried it inside, guiding me through check-in with a friendly smile. Despite arriving during peak check-in time around 3 PM, there was no chaos or long lines—everything was smooth and efficient. Even more impressive? My bags never touched my hands again—they were taken straight up in the elevator to my room. That’s what true luxury service looks like. Special shoutout to Guest Experience Manager Billy Liang, who went above and beyond when he learned about my parents’ anniversary visit. He personally delivered a birthday cake, arranged a reservation at the rooftop Longfeng Hall, and even made sure they enjoyed live classic jazz music at the hotel bar. He even snapped a sweet photo for them to cherish. My parents were truly touched and said it was one of the most memorable trips of their lives. Shanghai Miller Villa Hotel

Staying at Shanghai Miller Villa Hotel felt like stepping into a fairy tale—rich in history and charm from the moment you walk in. The exterior might not scream 'new and flashy,' but inside, everything has that timeless elegance of old-money quality—the bedding was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. Even small details like the hairdryer, flooring, and seating had a refined, classic touch. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and the short castle tour offered surprising insights and fun facts. I did have a slight disappointment with the terrace, but the front desk made up for it by giving me a little magnet as a thoughtful gift. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more—this place strikes the perfect balance between heritage, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Would absolutely return.
