Renartiss Isaakiy St.Petersburg Hotel (ex. Renaissance St Petersburg Baltic)
Staying at Renartiss Isaakiy in Saint Petersburg was a fantastic experience. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of the city, just steps away from St. Isaac's Cathedral and within walking distance to the Winter Palace. Public transport is super convenient, making it easy to explore everything nearby. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained—very comfortable for our stay. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, which made check-in and check-out smooth. One thing to note: there’s a mandatory 350 rubles per person immigration registration fee upon departure, and it must be paid in cash. We recommend bringing some cash just in case. Overall, this hotel offers great value, exceptional location, and a welcoming atmosphere—definitely a top choice for anyone visiting Saint Petersburg.
Aparthotel Vertical
We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The space was more than sufficient for eight people—no crowding at all—and the photos truly matched reality. The soundproofing in the unit is excellent; even with loud music outside, we couldn’t hear anything when the door was closed. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. In the lobby, right across from the front desk, there’s a large aquarium filled with turtles and other aquatic life. If you’re waiting to check in, it’s nice to just relax and watch the fish swim around. Overall, the stay left a very positive impression. I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and would happily return.
Antares by Center Hotels
Staying at Antares by Center Hotels in Saint Petersburg was a real highlight, especially given the price. Located on a quiet stretch of Nevsky Prospekt—less crowded than the main tourist spots—it's super convenient for getting around. Just steps away from a Pятерочка and Magnit convenience store, I never had to go far for essentials. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room came with all the basics—including air conditioning. The only things missing were a safe and bathrobe, but honestly, those aren’t dealbreakers when you’re only spending a few hours in the room each day. Cleaning happened just once during my four-night stay, but they did ask if I wanted it done, so no complaints there. I noticed the shampoo and shower gel weren’t refilled, which is a small oversight. There was some noise from a neighboring room, but again, not the hotel’s fault. Still, I’d give it a full 10/10 because of the value. At about 1,100 rubles per night, this is way better than what I used to get at capsule hostels—where the only plus was location, right near Moscow Station. This place offers comfort, convenience, and a great vibe for the price. Definitely worth it, and I’d come back without hesitation.

There’s parking available, but it’s an additional cost, so plan accordingly. Overall, this hotel delivers great value, comfort, and convenience. For the price, this hotel is an absolute steal just steps away from Red Square. The location is super easy to find and very convenient for getting around by metro.
