I used the Chicago City Pass, and the hotel’s location is perfect—so many attractions are just a short walk away, from shopping to iconic landmarks. If you're driving, I highly recommend booking parking through SpotHero instead of relying on in-hotel parking; it's more affordable and easier to manage. The hotel’s front doors open right into a lively area with nearby options like Hollands Foods—great for quick, budget-friendly meals. Breakfast was solid, with a good variety of hot and cold items. The only minor downside? Cell reception isn’t always strong, probably due to the building’s height and thick walls, but it didn’t ruin the experience. I originally planned to stay just one night, but the convenience and vibe were so great that I extended my stay by another night. If you're visiting Chicago and want a central, hassle-free base with excellent access to everything, this hotel is a top choice.

We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway with my girlfriends at The Wheeler Mansion. He also recommended dinner at Pilsen Yards, which turned out to be one of the best meals of the trip: delicious food and top-notch service. We left feeling completely refreshed and inspired. I can’t wait to return, especially in summer when the grounds are in full bloom—just looking at the photos, it’s clear this place is even more magical in warmer weather.
