Staying at CityNote Hotel in Kunming was hands down the best decision of my trip. This charming little gem, rooted in the idea of "simple beautiful living," exceeded every expectation I had—cleanliness, service, amenities, and breakfast were all spot-on and delivered with genuine care. The lobby is a stylish Instagram-worthy space with warm wooden tones and lush greenery that instantly calmed me after a long journey. I loved the 24-hour self-serve coffee station—perfect for a morning pick-me-up. My room was immaculate from top to bottom: soft, skin-friendly cotton linens, a Dreamland zero-gravity mattress that made sleeping so comfortable, and a spotless bathroom with excellent dry/wet separation. Noise isolation was impressive—once the window was closed, city sounds vanished completely. Combined with the air purification system, I slept like a baby all night. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. Check-in was quick, and they even offered free room upgrades and shared insider tips on nearby attractions and local food spots. Any request via phone was answered promptly, and the robot delivery service was surprisingly convenient. From housekeeping to front desk, everyone smiled and made you feel welcome. Inside the room, smart controls worked flawlessly, the large-screen projector made movie nights amazing, and everything you’d need—from mini-fridge to safe—was thoughtfully included. High-quality toiletries with a fresh scent added to the luxury feel. There’s also a well-equipped fitness center, self-service laundry, and dryer—ideal for longer stays. Breakfast was an absolute highlight: fresh, diverse, and delicious. I enjoyed homemade rice noodles, er si, handmade dumplings, hot dishes, and seasonal fruits—all served until 10 a.m., perfect for late risers like me. Paired with rich, freshly brewed coffee, it truly started the day right. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—just a short walk to Erji Road Metro Station, making visits to Guandu Ancient Town and Yunnan Provincial Museum super easy. Everything was spotless, with excellent cleanliness throughout. For the price, the value is outstanding. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kunming.
