We’ll definitely be back! Our stay was fantastic—every aspect of the hotel was top-notch. The property was immaculate, rooms were clean and cozy (and honestly, that’s expected in NYC), but what really stood out was the warm, efficient service from front desk to housekeeping, restaurant staff, valet, and bellhops. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It’s clear they care about guest experience, and it shows. What really stands out is the complimentary breakfast—fresh, varied, and satisfying without any extra cost. The staff go above and beyond with friendly, efficient service, always ready to help with local tips or booking assistance. It’s a great value for the price, and I’d definitely stay here again when visiting New York.

Staying at this hotel was an excellent experience overall. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to two different subway stations, making it super convenient for getting around Manhattan. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bedding was incredibly comfortable, and cleanliness was top-notch throughout the property. The rooms are well-maintained and feel very fresh. The only two small drawbacks were the breakfast selection, which felt limited in variety and lacked daily changes, and some exterior noise from the street—our room had a balcony with a stunning view of One World Trade Center, but even with doors and windows closed, you could still hear traffic. That said, the view and comfort more than made up for it. If you're looking for a reliable, well-located stay in the Financial District with great value, this is definitely worth considering.
JG Sohotel
We stayed at JG Sohotel to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The room was compact but incredibly cozy—clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed. The front desk staff were beyond friendly, always smiling, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They even helped us plan a little dinner outing nearby, which was such a nice touch. The neighborhood is vibrant and full of charm—great cafes, boutiques, and restaurants just steps away. We loved walking around and soaking in the local vibe. Everything about this stay was exceptional, from the comfort to the service. We’re already planning our next visit!

I stayed at the International Students Residence and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and practical it felt. My room was clean and comfortable, and while the bathroom and shower are shared, they’re well-maintained and functional. It’s affordable without compromising on basics, and being close to public transit makes getting around New York easy. A solid choice for students looking for value and a cozy vibe.
Wythe Hotel
This hotel is absolutely stunning—immaculate from top to bottom, and every staff member goes above and beyond with their warmth and professionalism. While the hotel doesn’t offer parking, there’s a great value lot just a two-minute walk away at 25 Kent St. We paid $64 for 2.5 days, which was incredibly reasonable. The room itself was a dream: exposed brick walls, soaring ceilings, and a bathroom that felt like a spa—with a massive tub and a powerful shower. Pro tip: if you’re sharing a room with someone you don’t want to see naked, be aware the shower partition isn’t a one-way mirror—you can actually see into it when someone’s showering. Luckily I was with my daughter, so no issues there. Both the in-house restaurant and the ramen spot next door are fantastic—definitely worth trying. I didn’t make it to the rooftop bar this time, but since I’ll be back every time I visit NYC, it’s definitely on my list for next time. The room was extremely quiet, and temperature control was effortless. That said, as someone who’s highly sensitive to energy and atmosphere, I did notice some unusual things right from the moment I walked in. Nothing scary—I’m not prone to fear—but I experienced several undeniable phenomena: seeing movement down the hall in both my room and the public corridor, hearing voices speaking clearly nearby when I was alone in the shower, and even hearing the stairwell door open directly beside our room, only to find it empty when I checked. It wasn’t coming from another room—it felt immediate, personal. After returning home, my daughter looked up the building’s history, and let’s just say it shed light on everything. There’s a reason why the third floor (near what used to be a fire escape) felt particularly charged. It also explains why my first thought upon opening the front door was, “I’m surprised they get away with inward-opening doors—this violates fire code.” Anyway, if you’re curious, do your own research. But regardless of all that, this is an exceptional hotel at a fair price, located in a safe and beautiful part of Brooklyn. I’ll be back again without hesitation.
