Stepping into the grand lobby felt like entering a luxury sanctuary: soaring ceilings, a stunning crystal chandelier, and a subtle, refreshing palmarosa fragrance in the air. Every detail screamed quality and intention. We checked into a standard room, but even the room tour felt like an experience—each cabinet and drawer revealed thoughtful touches: a golf cart model, a vintage hourglass, curated books. These aren’t just decorative items; they reflect the hotel’s unique personality and attention to storytelling. The amenities were top-tier—thick, plush slippers, a 17g mid-size Colgate toothpaste, and a wooden comb. Simple things, but so well executed, it made a real emotional impact. Breakfast was an absolute highlight. So much variety, so much flavor—my stomach really couldn’t handle it all! The live stations were impressive, especially the handmade wontons by Auntie Sun. Her warmth was infectious, and the wontons? Thin wrappers, generously stuffed with hand-ground meat that was springy and juicy—clearly made fresh, not mass-produced. The seafood congee was rich and aromatic, and fresh-squeezed juice added a perfect finishing touch. Staff were attentive without being intrusive—if something needed time, they’d ask where we were seated and bring it straight to us. The pool was massive, deep enough (around 1.4m), and kept at a perfect 30°C—ideal for winter swimming. At night, it felt almost private, like we had the whole space to ourselves. The dry sauna was spacious, well-ventilated, and completely quiet—no distractions. Even the shower and vanity areas used the same high-end products and appliances as the bedroom—zero compromises. Bonus: the complimentary 30-minute golf session at the practice range. As a complete beginner, I surprised myself with how well I did—fun, engaging, and genuinely memorable. I’d been slightly nervous after reading some negative comments about cold staff, but every interaction was warm, professional, and efficient. Housekeeping responded within minutes of a call—truly next-level responsiveness. Despite being in a quieter season (and even on a weekend), the hotel maintained its premium standards. Rumor has it the previous guest amenities were by Acqua di Parma, so there might’ve been some cost adjustments—but the soul of the place remains intact. This isn’t a hotel chasing trends or partnering with random photo shoots. It’s a genuine, well-crafted property built on substance, consistency, and care. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with fresh welcome fruits and the signature afternoon tea, both of which were delightful. Even better, the hotel included complimentary tickets to the nearby Six Dynasties Museum—a thoughtful touch that made exploring the city even more enjoyable. The location is excellent—central, walkable to major attractions, and just a short metro ride from everything. My stay was incredibly comfortable and relaxing. A special thank you to Cloris Li at check-out: her warm, friendly service stood out, and she even gifted us a cute Nanjing-themed maple leaf souvenir. It’s such a sweet little memory from our trip. Right downstairs is deji shopping mall, so you can stroll from room to store without stepping outside into the cold. Even on freezing days, I just wore my own slippers, a T-shirt, and a light shawl—perfect for a relaxed shopping spree. Everything I wanted was available, no need to wander far. The only minor downside? A few front desk staff weren’t as attentive when checking in, but everyone else—from housekeeping to concierge—was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The housekeeping team, in particular, were so cheerful and proactive, adding a bright energy to the whole visit. It was such a joyful two days, and I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

Checked in the afternoon and was warmly welcomed by Wang Chaofan at reception—he went above and beyond to upgrade us to a lake-view room as requested. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and even featured a private balcony overlooking Xuanwu Lake. Waking up to misty morning views of the lake felt like stepping into a painting—serene, peaceful, and truly memorable. We stopped by the trendy Double Track Coffee nearby and enjoyed a cup of Moon Coffee. It was the perfect spot for a cozy moment with my partner—great vibes and great photos! The hotel’s proximity to the metro made exploring the city effortless. We walked to Old Gate East, Confucius Temple, and the Qinhuai Lantern Festival under light rain—strolling through ancient alleys felt magical and so relaxing. On our second day, after checking out, we stored our luggage and visited Chicken Bell Temple. A simple bowl of vegetarian noodles and three incense sticks brought a deep sense of calm and spiritual connection to this historic site. Before heading back home by high-speed train, we returned to the hotel to collect our bags and rested briefly at the lobby bar. The staff there were friendly and attentive—such a warm way to end our trip. Nanjing exceeded expectations. I’ll definitely be back!

During my stay in Nanjing, I enjoyed all three meals at the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. No need to leave the property for dining—it’s a real plus. The location is outstanding: just 15 minutes to the Presidential Palace, and the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is accessible via direct subway from the nearby Ming Palace Station. The room view is truly expansive—so impressive that I barely needed to take photos. The restaurant ambiance and food quality were excellent, as shown in the picture I took there. Bonus point: the ground floor has a Tesla charging station, making it super easy for electric vehicle guests. Everything about this stay was seamless and satisfying. Perfect for morning strolls or just soaking in the scenery. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive—truly made the stay special. Staying at Bancheng Homestay near Xunjiekou and Deji Plaza was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Nanjing. I upgraded my room when booking, and it was absolutely worth it—the higher floor offers better views and more space, while the minimalist, clean design makes the room feel bright and airy. Atour Hotel Nanjing Presidential Palace
We stayed in Nanjing for five nights, and after two less-than-satisfying days elsewhere, we switched to this hotel for the last three—and it was a perfect upgrade. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the room was spotlessly clean, and all amenities were modern and well-maintained. One small but thoughtful touch: there’s a display on the TV showing how many washing machines are available at any time, so you don’t waste time walking down only to find them all in use. That little detail made laundry day stress-free. The location is fantastic—right next to Liu Chang Xing for great local food, and just a short walk from key attractions like the Presidential Palace, Six Dynasties Museum, Piliu Temple, and the Comfort Station Exhibition Hall. We didn’t get a chance to visit the Memorial Hall of the Victims of the Nanjing Massacre this time, but I’m already planning a return trip—definitely coming back here. Oh, and while booking through the platform, it mentioned complimentary late-night porridge. We didn’t ask for it, so we missed out—but if you’re staying here, don’t forget to request it! It’s a nice surprise worth taking advantage of.

Staying at Guoxin Hotel in Nanjing was an absolute delight. Located just steps away from deji Plaza, with the metro station conveniently underground right next to it, getting around to major attractions like Daxinggong, Confucius Temple, and the Presidential Palace was incredibly easy. The hotel has been recently renovated—everything feels fresh, clean, and comfortable. The room featured a smart toilet and a heated towel rail, which added a nice touch of modern convenience. I booked through a platform, and upon arrival, the front desk staff had already turned on the heating because of the sudden cold snap. They even noticed we came from the south and deliberately gave us a south-facing room with morning sunlight—such thoughtful attention to detail. There was a welcome drink in the mini-fridge, and since we were visiting Nanjing for tourism, they provided a helpful guide with tips on reaching key sights. Late at night, when our bottled water ran out, I called the front desk and within minutes, a robot delivered a new one right to our door—super efficient! Even more touching: when the staff spotted my birthday date on my ID, they surprised me with a small gift. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive. Across the street, there are plenty of dining options—our breakfast was at Lao Hun Dun, where we enjoyed authentic Nanjing wontons and crispy little pancakes that were delicious. This stay exceeded expectations. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Nanjing—it’s not just convenient, it’s full of heart and excellent service.

We had a last-minute trip and arrived at the hotel well past midnight, but the owner was incredibly welcoming and helped us check in without any hassle. The room was small but spotlessly clean, with excellent air conditioning and good ventilation through the window—perfect for a peaceful night's sleep. Though compact, it had everything we needed: a comfy bed, functional bathroom, and all the essentials. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to Xuanwu Lake and Xuanwumen Metro Station, making it super convenient for exploring Nanjing. For the price, this place offers amazing value.
