The location of Cityfair Apartments Köln is definitely convenient—just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to get around Cologne. However, the neighborhood itself isn’t very appealing. The apartment doors are dangerously thin—so flimsy that a light push could easily knock them down. There was a noticeable water stain near the bathroom entrance, and the bathroom floor had stubborn marks that looked like they’d never been cleaned. The single bed was extremely low, so much so that I had to lift my sheets just to make it usable. But even then, the bed frame was covered in stains and dust. After only one night, we couldn’t stay another minute—we packed up and left. For the price, this experience was completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, safe, or comfortable stay.

We stayed in Cologne with two friends for Carnival, booking a minimum of four nights. Honestly, we didn’t expect much—we just needed a clean place to rest after long days out. The mattress was the thinnest one I’ve ever slept on—barely any cushioning at all, so it felt like sleeping directly on the slats. To make matters worse, there was no proper cleaning between guests; leftover food particles were still on the dishes. While the price was reasonable for four nights, the overall condition simply doesn’t justify a good rating. With basic cleaning and some updates to the furniture and bedding, this could be a solid option. As it stands, I can't recommend it unless you're really pressed for time or budget.
