Novotel Budapest Danube

Staying here for three nights was an absolute delight! The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved historic building with a truly unique, old-world charm. Located just steps from the Old Town Square in Prague, it’s incredibly convenient—most major attractions are within a 10-minute walk. The room was spacious and surprisingly cozy, featuring a sloped ceiling that offered charming views of the exterior sculptures. Everything was well-maintained, from the comfortable bed to the modern bathroom. I especially loved the coffee—it was rich and aromatic. Breakfast was outstanding: abundant choices, including local delicacies and even a glass of wine to start the day. The ginger drink was a standout—unique and refreshing. With such great value for the quality and location, this stay was absolutely worth every penny. I’d happily come back again and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

Serenity Boutique Budapest

Staying at this boutique guesthouse in Budapest was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the metro and bus stops, making it super easy to explore the city. Right next to Oktagon, you’ll find plenty of shops and fast food options, so convenience is never an issue. The rooms are comfortable with air conditioning, a TV, and a mini-fridge—perfect for a cozy stay. While the rooms aren’t fully soundproof, the amenities more than make up for it. I especially appreciated the shared kitchen, which made preparing meals simple and budget-friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a quiet, well-located, and affordable base in Budapest.

Dagály Apartments by FirstHost

The apartment was not well maintained—cleanliness was below expectations. We had no Wi-Fi connection for the entire 10-day stay and ended up relying on mobile data roaming, which was inconvenient and costly. We contacted the property team several times via phone and email, and although they promised to address the issues, we received no follow-up or resolution until our departure. The staff never showed up in person to fix anything, despite their verbal commitment. While the location is convenient with good access to public transport, the lack of basic amenities and poor communication significantly impacted our experience. I wouldn’t recommend this property to others, especially if you’re counting on reliable internet and responsive service.

T62 Hotel

I was looking for a convenient hotel near the train station for an overnight trip to Prague, and with a solid rating, I decided to book here. I'm so glad I did—this place exceeded my expectations. I'd heard some guests mentioned noise, but since I stayed midweek, there was absolutely no issue at all. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you're catching early or late trains—it's just steps from the station. Great value for money and a truly relaxing stay. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Budapest.

LanskyRooms

Staying just one night was a real shame—this place deserves more time! LanskyRooms is perfectly located in Budapest, just a short walk from major attractions and public transit. The room was clean, cozy, and incredibly comfortable, with a great bed that made for a restful sleep. The price was spot-on for the quality and location. Honestly, the only thing I’d wish for is a mini-fridge, but since I only stayed one night, it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, this is a flawless choice—perfect for travelers who value convenience, comfort, and value. Would absolutely book again.

Pal's Mini Hostel

Staying at Pal's Mini Hostel was one of the highlights of my trip to Budapest. Nestled right in the heart of the city, it’s a short walk to all the must-see spots—especially the ruin bars, which are an absolute must for any visitor. The Danube River is just steps away, and seeing the Shoes on the Danube Bank left a deep emotional impact. The hostel itself is simple but clean and well-maintained. Hot showers, fresh linens, and towels were provided—no complaints there. The staff, especially Matias at reception, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped with local tips and recommendations. Security is solid too—three doors to get through before reaching the front desk, so I felt safe leaving my valuables in the room. With affordable rates and such a friendly vibe, this place is perfect for budget travelers who want comfort and convenience without the hassle. I’d highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Budapest.

Hotel Oktogon Haggenmacher by Continental Group

Absolutely thrilled with this stay! The room was stunning—clean, stylish, and full of character. The lobby exuded elegance without being stuffy, making the arrival experience truly welcoming. Breakfast was an absolute highlight: endless variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious flavors—from traditional Hungarian pastries to classic continental options. I couldn’t have asked for more. What really impressed me was the value—located right in the heart of Budapest, yet priced so reasonably. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of comfort, location, and affordability. The staff were friendly and efficient, and getting around the city via public transit was super easy. This wasn’t just a good hotel—it was a standout experience from start to finish. Would book again in a heartbeat.

West City Apartments

We were a group of three middle-aged guys from London who wanted to extend our stay in Budapest for one more night to spend quality time with our Hungarian friend. After a long search on the platform, we found this apartment at a reasonable rate—perfect for a last-minute Saturday night booking. We checked out of our previous accommodation (not listed on TA – Kalvaria) at 10:00 AM and took the No. 9 bus across town, arriving at the 24-hour front desk by 11:00 AM—exactly what we needed, no need to drag our bags around. The staff was friendly and efficiently processed our check-in with passport photos. They guided us to Room 503 on the fourth floor via the elevator and a short flight of stairs—a typical Hungarian design quirk, but manageable. The corridor felt a bit worn, but the room itself was clean and functional. It had a compact kitchenette, three single beds, an LED TV, tables, chairs, and plenty of power outlets—ideal for charging devices. A large window opened to the narrow gap between buildings, which helped ventilate the room quickly after arrival. Though we don’t use air conditioning, there was a unit mounted near the window—just in case. The twin bed had a working bedside lamp and table. I brought my own travel adapter since the socket count could be tighter. Each bed came with clean sheets, a pillow, duvet, and a medium-sized towel. The TV only offered local channels—no English content, and films were dubbed into Hungarian—but it did have spare HDMI ports, making it useful as a secondary monitor for laptop work. Positioning it over the desk would help, but currently it’s placed above the drawers. The bathroom featured an old-school overhead cistern flush system—functional and leak-free. The German-style toilet pan was practical and efficient; a single flush cleared everything. There was a black toilet brush available, though a hook inside the shower area would’ve been helpful. The shower tray (600x600mm) had strong water pressure and consistent hot water. While I didn’t get to shave, the mirror above the sink was well-lit, and the tap pressure was solid enough for a multi-blade razor. The shelf below the sink is usable but awkwardly positioned—standard sink layout issue. Overall, despite minor quirks, the room was clean, comfortable, and delivered good value. Perfect for a quick, hassle-free stopover in Budapest.

Butik Art Hotel

Staying at Butik Art Hotel was an absolute delight! Just a 10-minute walk from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Budapest. The rooms were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service—always ready to help. We had a wonderful time here with our kids; the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, like a home away from home. The breakfast room is charming and bright, with lovely views outside—perfect for starting the day right. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. This place truly stands out for its charm, cleanliness, and hospitality. A top choice for families or anyone seeking a unique, comfortable stay in Budapest.
