The S8 train station is just a short walk through the park behind the hotel—just make sure you’re heading in the right direction; it’s only a few stops to the old opera house during the day. However, avoid walking through the park at night for safety reasons. While there’s no free airport transfer, no kettle, and no laundry service, they do offer free luggage storage, plus complimentary lemon water and apples—small touches that make a big difference. For a trip to Heidelberg, I booked a bus ticket via the platform, choosing to board at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) with pickup at Terminal 1’s parking area—just a quick 5-minute walk from the arrival level. The bus drops you right at Heidelberg Train Station, where the bus stop is just around the corner. I bought a one-day public transit pass at the tram tracks near the station entrance using cash or card—perfect for getting around town. All major sights, including the castle, are within easy reach. Overall, this was a great stay with excellent value and convenience.

We planned to stay two nights at this 'hotel,' but we ended up leaving after realizing it was simply unbearable. Check-in was listed for 2 PM, yet our room wasn’t ready until 4:30 PM—after waiting over two hours, we finally got a key. When we entered with the code, we discovered the room was already occupied by another couple who were still inside. This is completely unacceptable in any hotel, regardless of price point or category. The double room we were eventually given had only one pillow and one blanket, the curtain was torn, and the furniture showed obvious scratches—something that could’ve been overlooked, but it just added to the overall sense of neglect. To make matters worse, the manager verbally promised a refund of our deposit, but not a single cent was returned. That’s not just poor service—it’s a deliberate lie, and we are now considering legal action. Overall, this experience was so far below basic standards that we can’t recommend it to anyone. Don’t waste your time or money here.
