I loved how convenient everything was—no need to worry about transport or long commutes. Plus, there are countless great dining options nearby. One standout breakfast spot offers five items plus coffee for just $35—huge portions, delicious flavors, and excellent value. It’s rare to find such quality and affordability in Sydney. This place truly delivers on every level. Highly recommend for students, travelers, or anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a great vibe.
Manor Boutique Hotel
My one-night stay at Manor Boutique Hotel in Sydney turned out to be a major disappointment. The room was freezing cold, and the heater simply didn’t work—despite reporting it immediately to reception. A staff member came by to check, but the issue wasn’t resolved. We were told to wait until the next day for assistance, which made no sense when we were already leaving the following morning. After checking out, we never received a single follow-up call or message from the hotel. Poor communication, weak management, and zero customer care. The entire experience fell far short of expectations. I won’t be returning, and I definitely won’t recommend this place to friends or family. Given how unsatisfactory the service was, I believe a refund is absolutely warranted—this stay wasn’t worth the price.

I stayed here for five nights and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The location is excellent—right next to a local shopping mall with tons of dining options and multiple bus stops nearby, making it super easy to get around town. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The room was clean, well-maintained, and had everything I needed, though I did have to bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste (but that’s no big deal—there’s a Coles supermarket in the mall just steps away). I booked the city view room because I love having a window, and while there is a compressor unit outside, it’s not loud enough to be bothersome. I actually enjoyed watching the street life from my window. Overall, this hotel offers great value and a comfortable stay—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Sydney.

A great base for exploring Sydney while staying close to campus.

This hotel is incredibly well located—just a short walk from Chinatown and Central Station, with excellent access to buses and trains. It only takes minutes to get to the University of Sydney, and the skydiving pickup point is literally just 100 meters away. I was a bit nervous before booking after reading some negative reviews, but my stay turned out to be far better than expected. The service was friendly and efficient, and our room on the 11th floor offered unobstructed views of the city skyline—truly stunning. The room itself was spotless, clean, and well-maintained. Even though there was no housekeeping during our two-night stay and breakfast wasn’t included, the overall experience was still outstanding. For the price—only $500 per night during National Day—I’d say it’s an absolute steal compared to another hotel I considered that charged double for a smaller room and worse bed. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for comfort, location, and value.

Quality Apartments Camperdown
Our stay was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price for just two nights. The apartment was located on a terrace below the pool and felt worn out and poorly lit. There were visible stains on the carpet, the safe didn’t work at all, and a faucet in the bathroom dripped continuously. There was no labeling on the shower taps to indicate which one was hot—very frustrating. While the bedding was clean, the floor just under the bed was covered in dust. The pool was full of leaves, and the surrounding area was overgrown with weeds and littered with empty cans and food wrappers—really unsanitary. Security was also a major concern: access to the pool should have required a key, but the door was left open, and a fire exit was propped open with a wedge. The terrace was easily accessible from the pool area, and after a shower, water flooded the space and remained stagnant—no signs of drainage or obvious blockage. We reached out to management to express our disappointment and expected better quality for the price we paid. This experience fell far short of what we hoped for, and it’s hard to recommend this property without improvements.

Our stay at The Banq Apartments by Urban Rest in Sydney was extremely disappointing. The cleanliness of the property was far below expectations—dust covered every surface, stains were visible on the carpets, and we even found nail clippings and cobwebs both inside and outside the unit. To make matters worse, the dryer was completely broken and unusable. We also couldn’t access the bin room due to locked doors, which made waste disposal a hassle. The worst part was when my partner stepped on glass fragments while walking around the living area, resulting in a painful injury. Safety, hygiene, and basic functionality were all severely lacking. This experience fell far short of what we’d expect from a reputable accommodation, and we wouldn’t recommend it to others.

The MAD Monkey Hostel at Coogee Beach is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm welcome from Joke at reception sets the tone for a fantastic stay. She’s incredibly friendly, always smiling, and genuinely goes out of her way to help guests with anything they need—whether it’s local tips, transport advice, or just a quick chat. Her positive energy is contagious and makes you feel right at home. Honestly, every hostel should have someone like Joke on duty—she truly makes the experience unforgettable. The vibe is relaxed, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are top-notch. I can’t recommend this place enough—will definitely be back!
