Santos Hotel
My stay at Santos Hotel in Taipei was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the check-in process smooth and welcoming. While the room amenities aren’t brand new, everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable—especially the bed, which provided a truly restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was a highlight: a great mix of Chinese and Western options, with fresh, tasty food that hit the spot. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from both bus stops and MRT stations, so getting around the city is super easy. For a reliable, affordable, and consistently good hotel experience, this place delivers. I’d definitely recommend it and will be staying here again on my next trip to Taipei.

Finally stayed at FX Hotel Taipei Nanjing East Road – and it was a great experience! Our family trip to Taipei made this hotel a perfect choice. Located right near the bustling Nanjing East Road, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city. We took the MRT just minutes away and even caught bus 306 to Ningxia Night Market in the evening – lively and full of local flavor. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything we needed. One small tip: the front desk is on the 15th floor, so don’t be surprised if you expect it to be on the ground level – staff were very helpful when we arrived. We skipped breakfast but walked just 10 minutes to a nearby Wuhu Soy Milk shop, which turned out to be delicious and authentic. Everyone in our family loved the stay and the whole trip. Great value, excellent location, and warm hospitality. Definitely coming back next time!

Staying at Hotel Fun Linsen was a fantastic experience. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Zhongshan Elementary School MRT Station, making it easy to reach by subway. Nearby, there’s a BaoYa store where I picked up some disposable essentials without having to go far. I stayed in a twin room that was spacious enough to comfortably fit two suitcases—no issues with luggage space. Getting to Xingtian Temple is just one bus stop away, and public transit options are plentiful. There are plenty of casual street food spots around, though if you’re looking for more specialized dining, you might need to walk a bit further. Ningxia Night Market is about a 25-minute stroll, which is perfectly doable if you’re in the mood for a leisurely evening walk. Overall, the hotel offers excellent value, clean rooms, and a great central location. I’d definitely stay here again.
TAIPEI INTERNATIONAL HOTEL
Staying at Taipei International Hotel was an absolute delight! The room size was just right—not too small, not too large—and the mattress had the perfect firmness for me, which made a huge difference after a 14-hour flight. I could really relax and recharge. The location is excellent: directly across from the well-known Lin Sen Park, and just a short walk to Zhongshan MRT Station. From here, getting to major attractions like Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Ximending, and Taipei 101 is incredibly convenient. There’s a 24-hour McDonald’s and a 7-Eleven right next door—great for late-night cravings or early morning snacks. I also tried the breakfast set at Mos Burger one morning, and it was delicious and satisfying. Overall, the hotel offers great value with top-notch convenience, comfort, and service. Definitely a go-to choice for any traveler visiting Taipei.

Right outside the door are attractions like Da Re Gu, the Hot Spring Museum, and Beidai Library—perfect for a relaxing day of exploring. In less than 10 minutes by ride, you can reach the lively heart of Beitou, where dining and nightlife options are abundant. The blend of tranquility and accessibility is rare, and it’s clear this place knows how to deliver a premium experience. I’d definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.
Jia Bin Ge Hotspring Resort Hotel
Staying at Jia Bin Ge Hotspring Resort Hotel in Beitou was an absolute delight. The natural hot spring water worked wonders—my dry, cracked skin visibly improved after just one soak. The breakfast buffet might not have had a huge variety, but everything was fresh, tasty, and surprisingly affordable. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re getting more than what you paid for. I’ve been here before and chose it again on purpose—definitely my go-to when I’m back in Beitou for a relaxing spa retreat. Highly recommend this hidden gem!

The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the metro and surrounded by great dining options. The room was clean, well-maintained, and offered excellent value for money. One small suggestion: keeping the check-out time at 12:00 PM would make things much more convenient. We had to wait until 6:00 PM to check in, but were asked to check out by 11:00 AM the next day, which felt a bit rushed, especially with luggage. A slight adjustment to the check-in/out schedule would really improve the guest experience. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations—great location, comfortable stay, and very reasonable pricing. I’d definitely book again.

Back from Turkey, I decided to extend my trip by two days and spend some time exploring Taipei—this area in particular, which I haven’t visited in nearly a decade. The changes are remarkable; it’s almost like visiting a different hometown now. Progress is everywhere—just wondering if Taiwan is moving forward too? 😉 Charming City Songshan Hotel impressed me with its clean and well-maintained rooms. The ground-floor café is a real plus—it’s perfect for staying put for hours with unlimited coffee. Breakfast options are also available for takeaway, which is convenient for early mornings. The only downside? The view of Taipei 101 from the window is beautiful, but the glass is covered in thick dust, so taking any decent photo was impossible. 😓 Still, this hotel offers great value, excellent location, and easy access to public transport. If you’re looking for a comfortable, no-fuss stay while soaking up the city’s evolving vibe, this is a solid choice.
Hua Da Hotel - Nanxi
I absolutely loved my stay at Hua Da Hotel - Nanxi! The place was spotless, and the owner couldn’t have been more welcoming. It has a similar vibe to a Korean motel, but the bedding is top-notch—definitely hotel-quality, which made a big difference. Just a heads-up: Taiwan doesn’t have much heating, especially during December to March, so if you're visiting then, bringing a small electric heater or heat pack can make your stay much more comfortable. The facilities are great for the price—really good value. Since I speak some Chinese, communication was easy, and I even extended my stay just to enjoy a relaxed final day of good food, rest, and fun. I’ll definitely be back! And while I didn’t get many photos (oops!), the room and amenities were exactly as shown online—clean, well-maintained, and stylish. Highly recommend!
