Ibis Styles Budapest Center
The location is excellent—just steps away from the metro, tram, and bus stops, making it super convenient to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, offering a comfortable stay. A Lidl supermarket is right next door, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always with a smile. Breakfast is decent but lacks some cultural touches—no cheese or olives, which would have added more character. Some sausages seemed questionable in terms of ingredients, possibly containing pork, so those avoiding it should be cautious. Still, we stayed two nights and left feeling thoroughly satisfied. Would absolutely recommend and book here again—great value and a fantastic base for exploring Budapest.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Gloria Budapest City Center! The entire experience was flawless. From check-in to checkout, everything ran smoothly. Special shoutout to the night shift staff—his professionalism and friendly attitude made a big difference. He was always attentive, helpful, and made me feel safe and welcome throughout the night. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Budapest, just steps away from major attractions and public transport. Clean rooms, great amenities, and excellent value for money. I highly recommend this gem if you're visiting Budapest—I’ll definitely be returning.

Once you’re on the train, downtown Budapest is just minutes away. The location strikes a great balance between peace and convenience, and the overall value is excellent. I’d definitely book here again.

There’s no shampoo or soap provided, so you’ll need to bring your own toiletries. The room lacks air conditioning, making it quite stuffy during warmer days. Wi-Fi connectivity is also a bit slow, particularly when streaming or video calling. Lastly, the shower curtain is outdated and not very practical. Despite these drawbacks, the property has strong potential. With some thoughtful upgrades—like better furniture, improved linens, added amenities, and better ventilation—the guest house could easily become a top choice. I’d still recommend it, especially for budget-conscious travelers looking for a friendly, local vibe.

The Elit Hotel is well located and convenient for getting around Budapest, especially with easy access to public transit. The rooms are clean and comfortable, offering good value for money. However, we arrived right on the check-in time as scheduled, but the room wasn’t ready yet—cleaning staff hadn’t finished, so we had to wait a bit before entering. Also, the daily key return and reissue system felt inconvenient, and the lack of a 24-hour front desk made things less smooth. While the hotel is solid overall, these small issues prevented it from being a perfect 5/5. Would still recommend it, but improvements in service flow would make a big difference.

Public transportation is super convenient, with trams and buses running frequently throughout Budapest. This place offers incredible value for the price—well worth every penny. The hot water worked consistently, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable, perfect for working remotely. The front desk staff were genuinely helpful—they upgraded me to a room with a view without any extra charge, which was a pleasant surprise. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough, always arriving at the right time. The mattress offered just the right balance of firmness and comfort, and the room was so quiet that I slept through the night without disturbance. The Fanni Budapest Guesthouse has a unique setup that caught me off guard. Check-in and the actual accommodation are about 500 meters apart—meaning you have to walk to get there, pay a deposit for the key, and then walk back again after check-out to return the key and get your deposit refunded. It’s exhausting, especially with luggage. While the room itself was clean and the staff were polite, the logistical hassle really took away from the experience. The location isn’t bad, but the lack of convenience in the check-in/check-out process makes it less appealing. If you're visiting Budapest, I’d recommend choosing a place closer to public transit or the city center for better flow and less walking.

I booked this property on the same day I arrived and immediately reached out to the host to confirm my arrival time—literally within minutes. Instead of a clear answer, I was left waiting for hours while being sent vague instructions about check-in procedures, including an online portal that didn’t even work. Despite knowing the system wouldn’t function right away, they refused to cancel my booking and insisted they were entitled to full payment. This was also the first time I’ve ever been asked to pay a deposit—higher than the total booking cost—though we never even got to that point. Throughout the entire ordeal, customer support only responded with generic, irrelevant templates, offering no real help. By the time I arrived at the property, I’d already wasted precious hours trying to resolve something that should’ve been simple. The lack of communication, poor responsiveness, and unwillingness to accommodate a last-minute situation made the experience frustrating and stressful. If you're looking for flexibility and genuine assistance, this isn’t the place. Not recommended.
